  • Patent number: 4799522
Abstract: The present invention relates to a snow chain for vehicle wheels, whereby the snow chain comprises two chain members adapted to extend along the peripheral tread surface of the vehicle wheel when the snow chain is mounted on said wheel. The snow chain comprises tie bars connecting the chain members to each other and adapted to extend transversely to the tread surface when the snow chain is mounted on the vehicle wheel. The snow chain preferably is mounted on arms which are foldable relative to each other and retractable to a position adjacent an end side of the vehicle wheel by means of a retraction device.

  • Patent number: 4727662
Abstract: The present invention relates to a device intended to be positioned under footgear as a walking facility and/or anti-skid means, whereby the device comprises a tread means (3) which is fastenable at the front and at the back of the footgear (2) through fore and rear anchoring members (4 and 5 respectively). In order to be adapted to shoes of various size, be firmly fastened and quickly removed in a simple manner and, after use, assume such a shape that it may be put away in any small space, e.g. a trousers-pocket, the tread means (3) is zigzag-shaped, in its normal shape substantially shorter than the footgear (2) and straightenable through elongation with regard to its zigzag-shape for increasing the length thereof, whereby said tread means is fastenable to the footgear.

  • Patent number: 4388754
Abstract: The present invention relates to a skid protections device (3) for wheels preferably snow chains for vehicle wheels. In order to permit quick and simple assembly of snow chains on vehicle wheels the device according to the invention comprises a power aggregate attached to a wheel, coupled to a bracket thereon. The bracket with skid protection means may be mounted at the wheel with the skid protection means extending in working position around the wheel except a part thereof which is prevented from attaching a working position by the wheel engaging a ground. The power aggregate, in coupled condition, moves the blocked part of the skid protection means to the working position when it is released by rotation of the wheel, the skid protection means in working position is movable in peripheral direction relative to the wheel during rotation.

  • Patent number: 4261561
Abstract: The present invention relates to a walking support having a wheeled frame with upright supports and handles for the user of the walking support mounted thereon, whereby the rear wheels of the frame are mounted on lateral members which are pivotally connected to at least one front member of the frame through links. To ensure an especially flexible operation of the walking support, the upright supports and handles are arranged on the lateral members to permit the user of the walking support to move one lateral member at a time. The handles are vertically adjustable. The rear wheels are spring loaded to the lateral members so that downward pressure on the lateral members applies the brakes.
