  • Patent number: 11304398
Abstract: An automatic milking machine controlled by a control unit that, in response to a control request from a first remote user terminal that indicates an intention to initiate transmission of control commands and/or parameter settings, checks whether at least one control command and/or parameter setting from a second remote user terminal has been received within a particular interval preceding a point in time when the control request was received, and if so, returns status data to the first remote user terminal that indicate an identity of the second remote user terminal so that, based thereon, an operator of the first remote user terminal can decide whether or not to remote control the milking machine at the present point in time.

  • Patent number: 11240988
Abstract: A control unit that controls an automatic milking machine to operate in accordance with control commands and/or parameter settings received from either of a local user interface fixedly arranged at the milking machine or a remote terminal, where the control unit, in response to receiving a lock command from one of the local user interface or the remote terminal, causes the automatic milking machine to operate in a single-control mode in which it operates exclusively to commands and/or parameter settings received from the one of the local user interface or the remote terminal that generated the lock command, in order to ensure predictable and safer operation of the milking machine particularly in view of personnel located in proximity of the milking machine.

  • Patent number: 6834037
Abstract: The method and arrangement according to the present invention relate to communication networks using ATM-(Asynchronous Transfer Mode) connections for data transmission, particularly ATM-connections adapted for transmission of, e.g., IP-packets. Transmission of IP-packets via an IP-link in an ATM-based communication network is done by a link function block that is implemented between IP-level and ATM-level. The function block includes selector for selecting an operative ATM-connection, which is assigned to said IP-link, monitor for monitoring the operability of selected ATM-connections and re-selector for reselecting a redundant ATM-connection if one of the assigned connections is detected to be inoperative.

  • Publication number: 20020012352
Abstract: A telecommunications platform (20) has a cluster (32) of processors (30) which collectively perform a platform processing function. Plural processors of the cluster have Internet Protocol (IP) capabilities and respective plural IP interfaces (34). An Internet Protocol (IP) handler (60) distributed throughout the cluster facilitates applications executing on the plural processors comprising the cluster to be addressed using a same media access layer (MAC) address. That is, the Internet Protocol (IP) handler comprises a single IP stack (62) which is addressed with the same media access layer (MAC) address. The Internet Protocol (IP) handler comprises a media access control (MAC) bridge (70).

  • Patent number: 5863171
Abstract: A vehicle transporting arrangement for transporting a vehicle in a parking building automatically from a drive-in module to a parking space (27), wherein the arrangement includes a first carriage (1), a so-called transfer carriage, which can be moved on and between different parking floors or storeys of the parking building and which includes a second carriage (2) and a third carriage (3), each of which includes lifting devices (4, 5, 6, 7) for lifting and supporting a pair of vehicle wheels, the second and third carriages being positioned sequentially in a direction perpendicular to the direction of movement of the first carriage on a parking floor and being movable in relation to the first carriage at right angles to its direction of movement on a parking floor. According to the invention, at least one of the second and the third carriages (2, 3) includes drive wheels (10) and drive elements for moving the carriage in relation to the first carriage (1).
