    Abstract: A dental floss dispenser has a case accommodating a thread of dental floss which emerges from the case through an outlet so that its end is accessible from the exterior of the case. The dental floss dispenser has a holding device, by means of which at least a section of the end of the thread of dental floss is held in defined alignment. The case is thereby structured to simplify transfer of a section of dental floss to a grasping and holding member.
