  • Publication number: 20240098076
Abstract: A third-party server, delegated by organizations to manage application environment, may maintain a plurality of guided workflow plans. At least one of the guided workflow plans may include one or more steps associated with setting up an interaction control policy. The third-party server may receive an interaction report associated with the organization. The interaction report may include metadata of one or more devices that interacted with other devices. The third-party server may identify a particular device to which existing interaction control policies of the organization are inapplicable. The third-party server may search for additional out-of-band information of the particular device using the metadata in the interaction report. The third-party server may select an applicable guided workflow plan for setting up an applicable interaction control policy for the particular device. A guided workflow may be presented via a graphical user interface according to the applicable guided workflow plan.

  • Patent number: 11703990
Abstract: A system that generates animated visual cues for providing previews that indicate the availability of associated content is provided. The system can display a landing page in response to a command to display selected content, such as messages of a chat session. The landing page generates a visual cue that displays an animated preview of associated content, such as files related to the chat session, concurrently with the selected content before transitioning to view that shows the selected content, such as a chat session UI. The disclosed techniques also enable systems to generate a visual bounce cue providing awareness of salient content. For example, a device displaying selected content, e.g., messages in a chat session UI, may create a controlled animated movement of the chat session UI to let a user know of an update to associated content that may be displayed in a UI layer under the selected content.

  • Patent number: 10863227
Abstract: Systems and methods for displaying a teleconference session are described. Teleconference data including display streams is transmitted to a number of client computers. Each of the streams may include at least a video and an audio component. A user interface includes a first display area rendering a first stream and a second display area rendering a second stream. An event may occur that removes a video component from the first stream. In response to the event, the rendering of the first stream may be removed from the first display area, and one or more streams of the plurality of streams may be displayed in at least a portion of the first display area. Such techniques for modifying user interface displays based on the actions of select users that have transitioned to an audio-only mode can optimize the use of a display area.

  • Publication number: 20170093653
Abstract: There is provided an apparatus comprising: at least one processor; and a memory comprising code that, when executed on the at least one processor, causes the apparatus to: communicate with at least one other apparatus via a network apparatus; receive from the network apparatus for each of said at least one other apparatus an indication of a transmission link quality of a link extending from said at least one other apparatus to the apparatus; and display the received transmission link quality indication(s).

  • Publication number: 20020080257
Abstract: The system employs hardware and software that enable a user to adjust the focal point, and focus of a motion picture, digital movie camera, still digital camera (includes all uses, including sound), or other image recording apparatus, by providing a field of view analogous to the camera's field of view. When this field of view is displayed on a touch screen or other suitable user interactive display device, a user may provide input to control camera aim and/or selects a distance finding mechanism, drive the lens to the correct focal length based on preset preferences and thereby bring the image into a desired “focus.

  • Patent number: 3963733
Abstract: 3-Thiolpicolinic acid is prepared by reacting a 3-halopyridine, having a 2-substituent which is hydrolyzable to a carboxy group, with an alkali metal salt of p-methoxybenzyl mercaptan, hydrolyzing the 2-substituent to a carboxy group and then cleaving the p-methoxybenzyl group under non-reductive acid conditions. The 3-(p-methoxybenzylthio)pyridines substituted in the 2-position by a carboxy group or a group which is hydrolyzable to a carboxy group are new intermediates.
