    Abstract: An electric motor including an insulating retainer for securing permanent magnets in position and providing secondary insulation for a double insulated motor. The insulating retainer includes a dielectric tubular body sized to fit within the motor housing, magnet retainers affixed to the tubular body for securing permanent magnets in position and alignment means for aligning the retainer within the motor housing to place the magnets in the optimum position within the motor housing.
