  • Patent number: 4526553
Abstract: A waterproof figure toy (10) having arms (16) and legs (18) fixed to resilient connectors (20) formed on a torso (14) to provide a floppy limbed doll. The arms and legs are fixed to the connectors in any convenient manner, as by a waterproof sealant, and a head (12) is fixed to the torso (14) in a watertight manner by means of a torso neck plug (24) and a head neck plug (26) sealingly captured in the head and torso and connected together by a flexible elongated connector (28), which allows movement of the head (12) with respect to the torso (14).

  • Patent number: 4416074
Abstract: A finger ring is provided with an endless strip of film held in a track formed within the ring. The ring includes a lens for viewing the film, a light transmitting system to apply light to the film and a film advance mechanism for moving the film a predetermined distance each time the advance mechanism is actuated.

  • Patent number: 4339889
Abstract: A multiple function doll having a unitary drop-in internal mechanism including a motor which rotates a cam to cause an arm of the doll to wave and rotates a drive shaft to reciprocate a pump which causes the doll to tear. The simplified mechanism is constructed to provide conduits for liquid from the doll's mouth to a reservoir and from the reservoir to the doll's eyes so that internal tubing is eliminated. The elimination of tubing and reduction of components reduces substantially the tendency of the doll to failure.

  • Patent number: 4223561
Abstract: A mechanism for translating motion in a first direction to an output motion in a direction normal to the first direction, the mechanism having a generally bar-shaped member with a second generally bar-shaped member slidably coupled thereto with an interconnecting pressure plate member operable toward the first bar-shaped member for sliding the second bar-shaped member. The pressure plate member is formed integrally with the first and second members and spring-biased. The mechanism may be used for example in a doll or the like.

  • Patent number: 4126960
Abstract: A doll having a compressible torso with a neck opening having support means adjacent to said neck opening with a mechanism coupled to the support means and extending into the torso, compression of the torso in a lateral direction actuating a slide member of the mechanism in a direction generally perpendicular thereto to pivot the head. The slide mechanism is provided with a ramp coacting with lever means adapted to urge against the interior of the head of the doll adjacent the lips to displace the lips outwardly during actuation thereof to simulate kissing. Other means are provided within the doll responsive to actuation of the mechanism to emit an audible sound.

  • Patent number: 4114313
Abstract: A combination doll and accessory article wherein the doll has a body with a neck opening having a generally hollow head connected thereto by a swivel connection, the head having a weighted mass therein, the mass including an electric motor and speed reducing gears connected to a shaft extending downwardly through the neck opening, the swivel connection being configured to permit the head along with the weighted mass therein to move in an orbital path. An article adapted to be moved to and fro, such as a swing or a cradle is provided for receiving the doll in such a position that movement of the article results in response to orbital movement of the head of the doll. A switch is provided on the interior of the doll's head adjacent the mouth thereof, the switch being normally closed and being opened in response to insertion into the mouth of a simulated pacifier or the like made of an insulating material.
