  • Patent number: 11249312
Abstract: An optical device includes a display that emits light toward a lightguide. Display light reflects from lightguide surfaces by total internal reflection (TIR). The display is mounted proximate to the lightguide. The optical device includes a first surface at an eye-side of the optical device and a second surface at a world-side. The optical device includes a first material having a first Abbe number and a second material having a second Abbe number different from the first Abbe number. The first material and the second material cause a color correction to light from the display or alters a chromatic aberration of the light from the display. A head mountable frame supports the display and the lightguide including the first and second materials.

Abstract: An optical device includes a display that emits light through a polarization grating and then through a field lens toward a lightguide. The polarization grating, the first material, and the second material cause a color correction to light from the display or alter a chromatic aberration of the light from the display. A head mountable frame supports the display and the lightguide including the first and second materials.

  • Publication number: 20150091765
Abstract: A wearable device band may contain a plurality of flexible sections and rigid sections. A radio frequency circuit and a central processing unit may be located on respective rigid sections. An antenna may be located at a flexible section and may be a given distance away from the portion of the band that touches a user's skin when the wearable device is worn by a user. The flexible section may contain a grounding flap and also may be configured to stretch over a roller.

  • Publication number: 20080128586
Abstract: The present invention includes a sun sensor assembly having an aperture that defines an area that is less than the area of the photo-detecting surface of a corresponding first photo-detector. According to another aspect, the present invention also includes a solar concentrator includes at least two sun sensor assemblies mounted on the concentrator in a manner to help the solar concentrator track the sun. According to another aspect, the present invention also includes a method of processing electrical signals from two or more photo-detectors. According to yet another aspect, the present invention includes a sun tracking system that includes a solar panel that includes a solar concentrator and control system.
