Patent number: 10151525Abstract: A refrigerator appliance includes a compartment and a door having an interior wall and at least one rail attached thereto. A harvest bin assembly is attachable to the at least one rail and includes a housing having a mount for securing the housing to the at least one rail. First pivot elements are disposed on each side of the housing. A removable bin defines a storage space and includes a plurality of holes formed in a bottom wall thereof. Second pivot elements are disposed on a side wall of the removable bin and engage a corresponding first pivot element on the housing. The first pivot elements and the second pivot elements define a pivot axis whereby the removable bin pivots between a first, closed position and a second, open position. A tray engages the bottom wall of the removable bin when the removable bin is in the first, closed position.Type: GrantFiled: January 26, 2018Date of Patent: December 11, 2018Assignee: Electrolux Home Products, Inc.Inventors: Benjamin Paul Shrader, Israel Mercer Neto, Brent Aaron Curtis, Cristhian Serrano Camacho, Ramom Eduardo Gadens Baduy

Patent number: 9869506Abstract: A drawer system includes a drawer and a drawer cover. The drawer can include an open top and be configured to be supported at a supporting structure, such as a refrigerator fresh food compartment for example, for selective sliding movement outwardly from the supporting structure and sliding movement inwardly toward the supporting structure. The drawer cover can be configured to be mounted at the supporting structure in engagement with the drawer at the open top of the drawer for movement directly vertically upwardly at the supporting structure away from the open top of the drawer when the drawer is moved outwardly from the supporting structure and for movement directly vertically downwardly at the supporting structure toward the open top of the drawer when the drawer is moved inwardly toward the supporting structure.Type: GrantFiled: May 18, 2016Date of Patent: January 16, 2018Assignee: Electrolux Home Products, Inc.Inventors: Joshua Hanson, Benjamin Paul Shrader, Saba Rizzi, Nathan Cho

Publication number: 20170321954Abstract: A retainer member is provided for retaining a food receptacle relative to an inner liner of an appliance cabinet or door. The retainer includes a base that is movably coupleable to the inner liner and first and second arms that extend from the base. The first and second arms are curved about an axis and define a passageway extending through the first and second arms along the axis. A free end of the first arm is spaced from a free end of the second arm to define an opening to provide radial access to the passageway through the opening.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 4, 2016Publication date: November 9, 2017Inventors: Benjamin Paul Shrader, Brent Aaron Curtis, Jorge Luis Nino Garza, Jennifer Serino

Patent number: 9738425Abstract: A storage bin includes a container portion and a two-piece lid mechanism. The two-piece lid mechanism has a front lid portion that covers the front part of the container portion and a rear lid portion that covers the rear area of the container portion. When the front lid portion is opened, the rear lid portion slides along the top surface of the front lid portion while the front lid portion fits rotatably underneath the rear lid portion in such a way that when the front lid portion and the rear lid portion are completely opened, the lid portions do not extend above the top plane surface of the two-piece lid mechanism. The storage bin may be mounted within a recess in the inner wall of a refrigerator door.Type: GrantFiled: November 10, 2014Date of Patent: August 22, 2017Assignee: Electrolux Home Products, Inc.Inventors: Benjamin Paul Shrader, Brent Aaron Curtis

Patent number: 9671154Abstract: A storage unit can include a front wall, a rear wall and a divider selectively locatable at at least three positions between the front wall and the rear wall, thereby defining at least three distinct storage areas. The front wall can include a front wall free edge that is structured to support and retain obliquely and spaced away from one another in a storage area between the front wall and the divider upper portions of at least two of a first group of substantially cylindrical articles. The divider can include a divider free edge that is structured to support and retain obliquely and spaced away from one another in a storage area between the divider and the rear wall upper portions of at least two of a second group of substantially cylindrical articles.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 2016Date of Patent: June 6, 2017Assignee: Electrolux Home Products, Inc.Inventors: Benjamin Paul Shrader, Brent Aaron Curtis, Cristhian Camacho, Ramom Eduardo Gadens Baduy, Israel Mercer Neto
