  • Publication number: 20200271289
Abstract: A linear lighting system and apparatus configured for easy and efficient installation and to reduce unattractive shadows, gaps, or light leaks is provided. In certain embodiments, the linear lighting system comprises a plurality of lighting assemblies joined contiguously together with a draw latch assembly and each of the lighting assemblies comprising a housing, a light source, and a power source. More specifically, the draw latch assembly comprises a draw latch and a latch keeper which, when engaged, removably secures a first lighting assembly to a second lighting assembly. In use, there may be more than two lighting assemblies which may be removably secured to one another in this manner in a variety of configurations.

  • Patent number: 10337677
Abstract: An edge-lit luminaire designed to be of minimal weight and to distribute illumination evenly upon an environment is provided. In some embodiments, the luminaire comprises a frame, a plurality of panels, a light source, and power circuitry. More specifically, the panels are arranged at desired angles so as to maximize the evenness with which light is emitted from the light source, which is secured to interior sides of one or more edges of the frame. In use, the frame is lightweight and configured to mount within or suspend from a ceiling.

  • Patent number: 9386659
Abstract: One embodiment of a fully integrated intelligent lighting module with built-in heat sink allows conventional electrodeless discharge lamps, LED, or electrodeless plasma lamps to be converted into intelligent electrodeless discharge lamps or electrodeless plasma lamps [with minimal effort]. Such a module may be comprised of a driver for an electrodeless discharge lamp or electrodeless plasma lamp capable of operating from 120-277V at 50/60 Hz as well as 347V and 480V in different models; a dimming chip; a sensor chip with clock to monitor the time and power used; a ROM module to store the data collected by the sensor chip; on-board non-volatile memory; a wireless communication module; and an external display and programming controls. Such a module allows users who install it into any pre-existing “dumb” light fixture to [quickly and easily] convert that fixture into an “intelligent” one.

  • Publication number: 20110291570
Abstract: One embodiment of an energy-efficient light fixture with automatic multilevel illumination comprising a housing that contains multiple ballasts and multiple lamps at least one of which is controlled by an occupancy sensor. At least one of the lamps remains on constantly to provide security in structures which would benefit from the safety that constant illumination provides. The other lamps will remain off until occupancy is detected from a sensor located within the luminaire housing and connected to one of the ballasts located therein.
