The compositions can be formulated for use as a surgical scrub, wound antiseptic, pre-operative skin preparation, industrial sanitizer, antimicrobial soap, teat dip, etc. In one particularly advantageous embodiment, a composition of the invention is formulated as a teat dip further including a rheology modifier, at least one surfactant, suitable emollients, skin conditioners and lubricants.
