  • Publication number: 20200321689
Abstract: A protective case for an electronic device having a display, a first 5G antenna region on a rear surface of the electronic device and a second 5G antenna on a side surface of the electronic device is provided. The protective case includes a first opening providing access to the display of the installed electronic device. The protective case includes a first antenna region opening on a rear surface of the protective case aligned with the first 5G antenna region providing direct access to the first 5G antenna region of the installed electronic device The protective case includes a second antenna region opening on a side surface of the protective case aligned with the second 5G antenna region providing direct access to the second 5G antenna of the installed electronic device.

  • Patent number: 8954122
Abstract: A case for a mobile electronic device is provided. The case includes a shell, a case antenna, a transmission line, and a near-field coupling device. The shell encases at least a portion of the mobile electronic device. The case antenna is attached to the shell. The transmission line is also attached to the shell and electrically interconnects to the case antenna. The near-field coupling device has a feed port electrically interconnected to the transmission line and is configured to near-field couple to a native antenna of the mobile electronic device to capture an electromagnetic signal generated by the native antenna of the mobile electronic device. The near-field coupling device is also configured to conduct the captured electromagnetic signal from the feed port of the near-field coupling device to the case antenna through the transmission line.

  • Patent number: 8508404
Abstract: The present invention is directed to fuze system for munition that produces a height-of-burst (HOB) signal using two Global Positioning System (GPS) signals, the first signal being from a particular GPS satellite (the direct GPS signal) and the second signal being the GPS signal from the same GPS satellite after the signal has been reflected from the surface adjacent to the target. In one embodiment, the HOB signal is generated when there is a substantial correlation between the reflected GPS signal and direct GPS delayed by an amount of time that is indicative of the desired HOB.
