  • Patent number: 11691516
Abstract: A system and method of capacitance management in an agricultural vehicle and connected implement, wherein the vehicle and implement have a plurality of electric drives connected to a common connection and connectable to a direct current supply, and each electric drive has an associated Y capacitor between each direct current supply connection and the common connection, wherein the method includes receiving and summing capacitance values for each of the electric drives and comparing with a stored threshold value. If the threshold value is exceeded, a sequence of selective disconnections of individual electric drives is performed until the sum of the received capacitance values is less than or equal to the threshold value. The method may be performed manually, or automatically based on a sequence defined in a priority list until the sum of the received capacitance values is less than or equal to the threshold value.

  • Publication number: 20170291650
Abstract: A method and system for selecting and indicating to a user one from a plurality of available ballasting options for an agricultural vehicle when coupled to an agricultural implement. The implement type defines operating ranges of discrete values for first, second and optionally third operational parameters of the vehicle, with the differing combinations defining a values subset. An optimal choice from the available ballasting options is made for each combination in the values subset, and a selection from the optimal choices based on prevalence or probability of occurrence is made and presented to the user. Operational parameters may include operating speed, loading due to implement weight and engine power.

  • Patent number: 9554499
Abstract: An agricultural vehicle has an implement connection hitch which is moveable relative to a rear axle of the vehicle. A system for controlling movement of the connection hitch is coupled with position sensors such as a GPS receiver. During turning maneuvers, the control system moves the hitch relative to the rear axle of the vehicle until it reaches an offset position such as to reduce the turning circle of the vehicle and a connected implement. The extent of offset may be determined automatically by the control system on identification of a connected implement.

  • Publication number: 20160039480
Abstract: A control system for a tractor fitted with two or more axles which carry wheels having pneumatic tires and which is set up to pull an implement or trailer. The system having a display means for displaying to a tractor operator tractor performance parameters and has sensors to determine the current pull force applied to the implement or trailer, the current wheel load and the current tractor ground speed. The system also has a control unit which determines and advises the tractor operator via the display means as to the optimum weight of the tractor using a predetermined relationship between pull force and tractor weight and also the required load on each axle to achieve a predetermined optimum axle load ratio. The system also advises via the display means the appropriate tire pressure for the current wheel load and tractor ground speed using a look-up table.

  • Publication number: 20150173291
Abstract: An agricultural vehicle has an implement connection hitch including means for controllably moving the same relative to a rear axle of the vehicle under the direction of a vehicle control system. Under user control from a cab of the vehicle, the hitch is moved rearward from the vehicle until it reaches a first position at a chosen distance from the rear axle. Following the attachment of a known implement to the hitch, the control system retracts the hitch and implement toward the rear axle to a second position at a distance from the rear axle determined in the control system optionally at least partly on the basis of the identity of the implement. The identity of the implement may be input by the user or determined via an ISOBUS connection.

  • Patent number: 8478496
Abstract: The invention relates to a transmission synchronisation method and a transmission synchronisation device for at least two transmission units (T1, T2). The synchronisation takes place in that in each case an output revolution speed (n1, n2) of an axle drive shaft arranged in a transmission (T1, T2) is adjusted by means of a first and second adjustment unit (ADU1, ADU2). The synchronisation of the first and second transmissions (T1, T2) takes place by a result value (cal_out) of an arithmetic logic unit (140) being conducted to the second adjustment unit (ADU2) arranged at the second transmission (T2), dependent on the first transmission (T1) and on the reference value (v_set) of a preselection unit (100).
