  • Publication number: 20220101430
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for a blockchain-based carbon credit database. Mineral deposits (such as hydrocarbons) can be analyzed via a variety of regulatorily or NGO approved methods to determine size, type and other characteristics. The deposit, depending on one or more of its features, can then be converted into carbon credits (assuming said deposits are not accessed) and associated with a node on a blockchain. The carbon credits can then be traded on the blockchain.
