Patent number: 11145333Abstract: Systems and methods provide for capturing and presenting content creation tools of an application used in a video. Application data from the application for the duration of the video is received. The application data includes data identifiers and time markers corresponding to user interaction with an application in a video. The application data is processed to detect tool identifiers identifying tools used in the video based on the data identifiers. For each a tool identifier, a tool label and a corresponding time in the timeline is determined. A tool record storing the tool labels and the corresponding times in association with the video is generated. When a viewer requests to watch the video, the tool record is presented to the viewer in conjunction with the video.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 2019Date of Patent: October 12, 2021Assignee: ADOBE INC.Inventors: William Hayes Allen, Lubomira Dontcheva, Haiqing Lu, Zachary Platt McCullough, David R. Stein, Christopher Nuuja, Benoit Ambry, Joel Richard Brandt, Cristin Ailidh Fraser, Joy Oakyung Kim, Hijung Shin

Patent number: 10559096Abstract: Digital paint generation techniques and systems are described that are configured to bridge a perceived divide between functionality made available to users to create digital content and the users' understanding as to how this functionality is to be used. A variety of techniques and systems are described that support this expansion. In one example, interaction of physical digital paint properties with each other as part of generating digital paint is used to expand functionality of digital paint generation beyond conventional color selection techniques.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 2017Date of Patent: February 11, 2020Assignee: Adobe Inc.Inventors: Mark M. Randall, Abraham Moshe Muchnick, Benoit Ambry, Kushith C. Amerasinghe Godagamage, Jean-Sylvere Charles Simonet

Patent number: 10515465Abstract: Digital paint generation techniques and systems are described that are configured to bridge a perceived divide between functionality made available to users to create digital content and the users' understanding as to how this functionality is to be used. A variety of techniques and systems are described that support this expansion. In one example, container representation and hierarchical storage such that previously generated digital paints and combinations of those paints may be used to generate a new digital paint, which is not possible using conventional techniques.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 2017Date of Patent: December 24, 2019Assignee: Adobe Inc.Inventors: Mark M. Randall, Abraham Moshe Muchnick, Benoit Ambry, Kushith C. Amerasinghe Godagamage, Jean-Sylvere Charles Simonet

Patent number: 10489938Abstract: Digital paint generation techniques and systems are described that are configured to bridge a perceived divide between functionality made available to users to create digital image and the users' understanding as to how this functionality is to be used. A variety of techniques and systems are described that support this expansion. In one example, a control is used to adjust color and/or physical digital paint properties to generate digital paint. Further, feedback is also supported such that the digital paint generated from properties is changed in real time as changes are made to the properties, e.g., amounts of digital paint properties used to generate the digital paint.Type: GrantFiled: September 26, 2017Date of Patent: November 26, 2019Assignee: Adobe Inc.Inventors: Mark M. Randall, Abraham Moshe Muchnick, Benoit Ambry, Kushith C. Amerasinghe Godagamage, Jean-Sylvere Charles Simonet

Patent number: 10474341Abstract: Digital paint generation techniques and systems are described that are configured to bridge a perceived divide between functionality made available to users to create digital image and the users' understanding as to how this functionality is to be used. In one example, a mix control is used to adjust color and/or physical digital paint properties to generate digital paint. Further, feedback is also supported such that the digital paint generated from properties is changed in real time as changes are made to the properties, e.g., amounts of digital paint properties used to generate the digital paint.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 2017Date of Patent: November 12, 2019Assignee: Adobe Inc.Inventors: Mark M. Publication number: 20140250055Abstract: Certain embodiments described herein provide methods and systems that use metadata placeholders to facilitate the association of metadata with recorded media content. Metadata placeholders, for example, may be created prior to recording content and then used at the time of the recording and editing of the actual content. Metadata placeholders can be used to make useful information, including a director's shot plan and other shot attribute information, available on-location to be used and edited by those present at recording and to facilitate the association of the information with the actual recorded content. One exemplary method involves creating a metadata placeholder for a shot, including information about the shot in the metadata fields of the metadata placeholder, and then storing the placeholder's metadata with the content that is recorded for the shot.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 7, 2008Publication date: September 4, 2014Inventors: David Kuspa, Mark Mapes, Benoit Ambry
