  • Publication number: 20230125152
Abstract: Electrical system and method for detecting an end-of-life (EOL) of a circuit are disclosed. In an embodiment, the electrical system includes a sensing circuit for detecting variance of an input electrical power to an electrical device; and a processor for receiving the variance and comparing the variance with a threshold range. When the variance is out of the threshold range, the processor generates a signal to cause the output electrical power disconnected.

  • Publication number: 20220209821
Abstract: An example embodiment is a voice appliance including: a plurality of user interface devices comprising at least a microphone and a speaker; a plug for receiving power to the appliance or load; and a communication subsystem configured for wired communication with an electrical receptacle through the plug when plugged into the electrical receptacle. An electrical receptacle for connection to power lines comprises: at least one plug outlet configured to provide DC output, wherein the at least one plug outlet is configured to provide access to a wired communication network defined by at least one of the power lines. The plug outlet can be a Universal Serial Bus (USB) plug outlet to connect to a mobile device or a removable USB memory device. An intelligent junction box at the circuit breaker panel is configured to perform dynamic power allocation and power line communication.

  • Publication number: 20220021195
Abstract: Arc fault current interrupter electrical devices and systems. An example is an electrical device comprising: a contact configured for electrical connection to a power line; at least one sensor to detect at least voltage signals indicative of the power line; and a processor configured to determine from the detected voltage signals that a series arc fault has occurred.

  • Publication number: 20210249823
Abstract: An electrical receptacle contains contacts, at least one contact for electrical connection to a hot power line and at least one contact for a neutral power line. A controlled switch, such as a TRIAC, is connected in series relationship between the contact and the hot power line. One or more sensors are provided which detect signals of the hot power line and/or the neutral power line. The processor provides activation or deactivation control to the controlled switch in response to the detected signals that are indicative of conditions relative to the first and second contacts.

  • Publication number: 20140215946
Abstract: A covering panel. The panel includes multiple lips disposed around the edges of the panel. Each lip projects from a corresponding edge of the panel and extends along at least a portion of the edge. Each lip also includes the features of at least one flange, which projects from the lip. Each lip also includes at least one groove, which receives the at least one flange of a separate, or the same lip. The groove is substantially contiguous with the flange. The panel can also include an elastomeric core, made of PVC or uPVC material. The groove and the flange can be mushroom shaped, and can be complementary such that they share the same shape, but are inversed.
