    Abstract: An implement holder is disclosed. One embodiment provides an implement retention device including a main body having an attachment surface to secure the implement retention device to a mounting surface, a device retention surface having a retention slot that is wider than a device to be stored therein, the retention slot having a first side having an overhanging portion on at least a proximal end of the slot and a second side having an overhanging portion on at least a distal end of the retention slot, and a first magnet adjacent to the first side overhanging portion and a second magnet adjacent to the second overhanging portion, wherein when an implement is situated within the retention slot, the magnets rotate the implement and secures it behind the first overhanging portion and second overhanging portion.     Abstract: A decoupled lock is disclosed. One embodiment provides a knife having a handle pivotably attached to a knife blade, the knife blade having a closed position within the handle and an open position extended from the handle, and a decoupled lock having a blade engagement portion to lock the blade and a user interface portion to disengage the blade engagement portion, wherein the blade engagement portion is biased toward a locked position and the user interface portion disengages the blade engagement portion when the blade is in the open position and is decoupled from the blade engagement portion with the blade in the closed position.     Abstract: A knife opening mechanism is disclosed. In some embodiments, a knife includes a handle having a pivot pin to pivotably attach a blade to the handle, the handle having a cavity to receive the blade in a closed position, a blade pivotably connected to the handle by the pivot pin, the blade having a front tang portion and a rear blade portion, wherein the rear tang portion receives an engagement surface from a lockback bar to lock the blade in an open position and wherein the front tang portion is contoured to engage the lockback bar engagement surface to resist rotation of the blade, and a locking foot safety to lock the lockback bar when the knife is in a closed position, wherein the locking foot safety engages the foot of the lockback bar on the end of the lockback bar near the pivot pin.
