Abstract: The invention refers to a comminution device comprising at least one comminution cylinder supported rotating in a machine frame with at least one comminution tool arranged on it, and at least one counter cutter interacting with the comminution tool, and at least one sieve device for the comminuted material the housing of which encircles the comminution cylinder at least partly, the sieve device and the counter cutter forming a common structural component. The invention is characterized in that the counter cutter is designed like a plate and has recesses designed corresponding to the shape of the comminution tools of the comminution device.

Abstract: The invention relates to a shredding device, consisting of at least one shredding roll that is rotatably mounted in a machine frame, at least one shredding instrument that is mounted on said roll, at least one opposing blade that co-operates with the shredding instrument(s) and at least one screen for the shredded product, the housing of said screen at least partially surrounding the shredding roll. The invention is characterised in that the screen can be displaced in relation to the machine frame and/or the shredding roll.
