Abstract: Novel dinuclear and water-soluble rhodium complexes, well suited as hydroformylation catalysts, as are aqueous solutions thereof, have the general formula: ##STR1## in which R and R', which are identical or different, are each a substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon radical, with the proviso that R and R' may together form a single divalent radical, TAPS is a sulfonated triarylphosphine ligand, and L is a carbonyl (CO) or a TAPS ligand.

Abstract: The chlorophenols, e.g., 2,4,6-trichlorophenol, are efficiently prepared by chlorinating an ortho-/para-substituted phenolic compound with gaseous chlorine, whether in molten state or in a solvent reaction medium, in the presence of a catalytically effective amount of a primary, secondary or tertiary amine.

Abstract: The arylaminoaluminums, well adopted as catalysts for the ortho-alkylation of aromatic amines with an olefin, are facilely prepared by reacting at least one aromatic amine with metallic aluminum in the presence of a catalytically effective amount of iodine, or precursor compound thereof which generates elemental iodine under the conditions of reaction.

Abstract: Power is transmitted by motor shaft 9 in derivation by means of an epicycloidal train of engaged gears 21 to the hydrostatic system 15 mounted in parallel to the mechanical transmission 16 which comprises an inverter 24 upstream of the output of hydrostatic motor 20. A hydraulic coupler 25 controlled by structure 26 is mounted in parallel to the epicycloidal train of derivation of force 21 in a fashion to permit the addition of a supplementary couple in difficult situations.The hydromechanical system of the invention conserves the qualities of flexibility of the hydrostatic system while improving the efficiency of the transmission.Application to the transmission of direction of tracked vehicles.
