  • Patent number: 11198091
Abstract: The present invention proposes to use a dry stream which is rich in C4 to C10 hydrocarbons as stripping agent for improving the regeneration of the liquid desiccant according to the invention. This dry stream rich in C4 to C10 hydrocarbons is extracted from the gas derived from the dehydration, for example during a step of extraction of NGL located downstream of the gas dehydration unit. The stream of stripping agent recovered at the outlet of the liquid desiccant regeneration unit may be recycled into the process of the invention or sent to a unit external to the process according to the invention. For example, this stream of stripping agent recovered at the outlet of the regeneration unit is sent to a unit which can receive wet condensates, such as a three-phase separation unit at the inlet of a crude gas processing plant, a condensate stabilization unit, etc.

  • Patent number: 9943775
Abstract: The invention concerns a flexible process for purifying a solvent which inhibits the formation of hydrates during gas processing, in particular monoethylene glycol (MEG), said solvent having a boiling point which is higher than that of water and, at least at one point in time, being mixed with water and salts, the process operating in a different manner with the same facility as a function of the quantity of salts in the MEG to be treated. The process operates in accordance with a phase known as reclaiming (separation of salts under vacuum followed by vacuum distillation) when the salts content exceeds the precipitation threshold and if not, the process operates in a regeneration phase (absence of separation of salts and no operation under vacuum). Advantageously, the change is made under the control of means for testing the salts.

  • Patent number: 5501776
Abstract: For the regeneration of a liquid desiccant, a stripping agent is used which is liquid at ambient temperature and pressure, and forms a heteroazeotrope with water, along with the following steps: (a) distillation of the water-laden liquid desiccant to form vapor and partially regenerated liquid desiccant; (b) reboil partially regenerated liquid desiccant; (c) stripping of partially regenerated liquid desiccant during (a) and (b), using vaporized stripping agent; (d) a condensing of vapor the exiting the distillation, the condensation producing two liquid phases, one mainly water and the other mainly stripping agent; (e) heating the stripping agent-rich liquid phase exiting step (d) to generate a vapor phase which is richer in water than said liquid phase and a water-depleted liquid phase; and (f) returning the vaporized liquid phase exiting step (e) to step (c).

  • Patent number: 5204453
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for the preparation of 1:2 chromium, 1:2 cobalt, 1:2 nickel or 1:2 iron complex azo dyes diazotisation, coupling and metallizing, without isolation of the coupling product, which process comprises diazotizing at least one amine of the benzene or naphthalene series in aqueous solution and coupling the diazonium compound so obtained to at least one coupling component of the benzene or naphthalene series or of the heterocyclic series, such that the azo dye obtained as intermediate contains groups suitable for metal complex formation, and carrying out the diazotization or coupling in the presence of a chromium, cobalt, nickel or iron donor. The dyes obtained by the process of the invention are suitable for dyeing in particular wool or synthetic textile polyamide fibre materials as well as leather, and for use as wood mordant dyes.
