  • Patent number: 10557252
Abstract: A flow control valve for a liquid conduit, such as a fire hydrant valve for insertion in a fire hydrant conduit, comprises a fixed valve body mountable inside the liquid conduit, a displaceable valve body, and an actuator assembly operatively engageable with the displaceable valve body. The fixed valve body has a peripheral wall and defines a longitudinal passageway, and at least one upstream port and a downstream port. The displaceable valve body is inserted into the longitudinal passageway of the fixed valve body and is linearly displaceable therealong between a closed configuration and at least one open configuration. The actuator assembly is operable to linearly displace the displaceable valve body along the longitudinal passageway of the fixed valve body between the closed configuration and the at least one open configuration.

  • Patent number: 8694779
Abstract: According to one general aspect, a method may include receiving, via a first network tap point included by a first network segment, a first portion of network communication data between a client computing device and a server computing device. The method may include receiving, via a second network tap point included by a second network segment, a second portion of network communication data between the client computing device and the server computing device. The method may include attempting to correlate each sub-portion of the first portion of network communication data to corresponding sub-portion of the second portion of network communication data. The method may also include analyzing the correlated network communication sub-portions to generate at least one set of metrics regarding the performance of the network communication between the client computing device and server computing device.

  • Patent number: 8688982
Abstract: According to one general aspect, a method may include establishing a network tap point near, in a network topology sense, an intranet/internet access point device. The network tap point may provide a substantially non-intrusive means of viewing network communication through the intranet/internet access point. The method may include monitoring, via the network tap point, at least partially encrypted network communication between a client computing device that is within the intranet and server computing device that is within the internet. The method may also include analyzing the monitored at least partially encrypted network communication to generate at least one set of metrics regarding the performance of the network communication between the client computing device and server computing device.

  • Patent number: 4854665
Abstract: Apparatus for coupling the axial extremities of two associated inner ducts used for housing at least one fiber optic cable. The coupling includes first and second cylindrical sections, each having inner concave faces and outer convex faces and apparatus for engaging the axial extremities of the associated inner ducts. The apparatus for engaging is disposed on the inner face of the cylindrical sections. The apparatus also includes structure for providing mutual gripping between the first and second cylindrical sections. The structure for mutual gripping on the first and second cylindrical sections is disposed on the first and second cylindrical sections and functions only when the first and second cylindrical sections are engaged with at least one axial section of an inner duct.
