  • Patent number: 6668427
Abstract: A metal cable tie is disclosed. The cable tie includes an elongate metallic strap, a metallic locking head, and metallic roller means. The strap has a first end and a second end opposite the first end. The head is secured to the first end of the strap for receiving the second end of the strap. The head comprises a strap entry face, a strap exit face, and a strap-receiving aperture extending therebetween. The head further comprises a floor and a roof which diverge in the direction of the exit face. The metallic roller means lockingly engages the strap, and the head comprises retention means disposed adjacent the exit face for captively holding the roller means within the head. The roller means is movable between a threading position wherein the roller means is disposed adjacent the exit face and the retention means, and a locking position wherein the roller means is closer the entry face.

  • Patent number: 5402592
Abstract: An information marker for conforming display around an elongate object having a longitudinal axis includes a planar information display surface of sufficient flexibility to conform to the shape of the elongate object, a plurality of embossments in the information display surface arranged to display an informational symbol field, wherein longer peripheral edges of each of the embossments are aligned parallel to an embossment alignment direction, and a fastener for securing the marker around the elongate object in a desired display orientation of the informational symbol field such that the embossment alignment direction is substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the elongate object whereby the flexibility of the planar information display surface is not degraded by the embossments.

  • Patent number: 5314154
Abstract: A strap mount for holding a bundle of wires against a hole in a structure such as a wall or ceiling. The strap mount includes a thin, closed loop mount member having a pair of substantially parallel extended end sections and a central loop section including a passageway. The shape of the mount allows for it, and an engaged strap, to pass completely through a hole in a structure and then be oriented so that the strap mount will be prevented from returning through the hole. When the strap mount is held up against the structure, the bundle can then be secured by tightening the cable strap around it.
