Abstract: Connector apparatus for joining structural components, such as posts 19 and panels 25, to form a modular structure. Posts are extruded members with T-shaped grooves 21 therein. Affixed to the panels are grooved rails 27 with corresponding T-shaped grooves. An adjacently positioned grooved post and panel rails are joined by connector assembly 31 which consists of two C-shaped channels 33 and 35, and a plurality of transversely extending threaded elements 39 that are threadedly engaged to the channels. The threaded elements have left and right hand threaded ends 38 and 40, each end threadedly engaging one channel, and when rotated, act to increase or decrease the distance between channels to lock or unlock the panel to the post. Periodically spaced slots 47 in the channel webs or on a U-shaped member secured to the webs permit brackets 48 to be mounted to the connector apparatus.

Abstract: An improved modular wall or shelf assembly is disclosed which may be locked into place. The assembly comprises an upright support for supporting the modular wall or shelf component and a mounting bracket connected to the modular wall or shelf component along a vertical plane for adjustably affixing the modular wall or shelf component to the upright support. The mounting bracket is composed of two parts, namely an upper bracket member and a lower bracket member. The upper bracket has an elongated body portion which is adapted to be connected to the upper portion of the modular wall or shelf component and a plurality of linearly aligned tabs. The tabs extend outwardly and each have a horizontal lower lip for supporting the vertical load of the modular component. All of the tabs, except the uppermost tab, have an upper lip which extends horizontally or downwardly.

Abstract: A flexible shield material having the characteristic of not transmitting solar heat, is supported on a frame which extends from end to end of an automobile or the like vehicle and is adjustable in length, having means on the opposite ends to be hooked to the front and rear bumpers and adapted to be locked, the longitudinal frame members including telescopic members so that the entire frame can be collapsed to a size adapted to be stored in the trunk of the average vehicle, and when extended space the sun shield from the vehicle body.

Abstract: A panel assembly which comprises panels having astragals adapted to be attached to the segments of a segmented column and adapted to be rotated about the axis of the column to a position in which one panel forms an angle with another. One or more additional panels may be added to the column. The panels have load supporting means and the column does not.
