  • Patent number: 4218960
Abstract: The invention relates to a ram comprising a piston rod in two parts mounted for relative rotation.A first part extends out of the cylinder, beyond each of the heads, while the second part extends out of the cylinder only beyond one head, namely the upper one, and comprises two axial shoulders directed in opposite directions, located at the two ends of this second part and each cooperating with a shoulder, fast with the first part, corresponding to the maintenance of a fixed relative axial position between the two parts, and two radial bearing surfaces located at the two ends of the second part and cooperating with two radial bearing surfaces fast with the first part, corresponding to the centering of the two parts. The present invention is particularly applied to a rotatable clam-shell bucket.

  • Patent number: 3945300
Abstract: This invention relates to a telescopic jack constituted by a main cylinder, a first piston sliding in said main cylinder, a first piston rod fast with the first piston which passes in tight manner through a first bottom of the cylinder, a second piston which may be disposed in a bore of the first rod and is mounted to slide with respect to the first piston, and by a second piston rod which is fast with the second piston. The second piston rod passes through the second bottom of the cylinder whilst the piston is separable from the rod.One application of the invention is the production of an inexpensive telescopic jack.

  • Patent number: 3934616
Abstract: A telescopic structure comprises an inner and an outer member telescopic relative to each other, and means for supporting and/or guiding one member relative to the other member, comprising a pair of wheels mounted on each member and positioned between the members, the wheels on one member bearing on parallel runways fixed to the other member, the runways each having an at least partly circular section with the peripheral surfaces of the wheels bearing on the runways being correspondingly toroidally shaped to have geometric projections in a plane perpendicular to the direction of extent of the runways extending parallel and perpendicular to the rotational axes of the wheels.
