  • Patent number: 8718892
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for controlling a starting aid of a motor vehicle, in particular of a bus. The release of the starting aid takes place as follows: reduction of the braking pressure in accordance with a predetermined first gradient; simultaneous detection of the rotational direction of an output shaft of a transmission of the motor vehicle or of another component which rotates as a function of the rotational speed of the drive wheels; upon detection of a rotational-direction signal which indicates forward travel of the motor vehicle, continuation of the reduction in the braking pressure in accordance with the predetermined first gradient and upon detection of another signal, continuation of the reduction of the braking pressure by way of a second gradient which is reduced in comparison with the first gradient or an increase in the braking pressure.

  • Patent number: 7192386
Abstract: The aim of the invention is to regulate the braking torque in a drive train comprising an internal combustion engine (2) and a gearbox unit (3) which can be coupled to the same, using a regulatable clutch (5). To this end, the power introduced by the wheels into the drive train of the vehicle is transmitted via the regulatable clutch (5), in the overrun condition. The torque which can be transferred via the regulatable hydrodynamic clutch is controlled or regulated in such a way that the drive motor connected to the gearbox unit is operated at a rotational speed nm-soil which is equal to or larger than the idling rotational speed nLeerlauf.

  • Patent number: 6456919
Abstract: A process for the control of switching or shifting processes in automatic gears with an allocatable control device for use in drivelines of vehicles with at least one drive motor, especially in the form of an internal combustion engine. In a first process step the actual values of certain travel-dynamics magnitudes for a given time point to are detected or calculated; in a second process step there is determined from the actual values a theoretically achievable connection speed of the drive motor, especially the internal combustion engine, in the actually shifted-in gear for each time step; in a third process step the ascertained connection speed is compared with limit speeds that can be stipulated in a characteristic field of the drive motor, in which in dependence on the comparison results in no switching process, or an upshift- or downshift- switching process is initiated by governing of the setting members actuatable for the carrying-out of a gear change.

  • Patent number: 6324045
Abstract: A digital two-step controller for an actuator element includes an A/D converter, an output driver and a control device with a memory. An analog measuring signal is received from the actuator, converted in the A/D converter into an actual digital value, and is input into a first region of the memory of the control device. The actual digital value which is input into the first region of the memory is compared with a theoretical digital value for the actuator, which value is stored in a second region. The output of the control device to the output driver is set to ZERO when the actual digital value is larger or equal to the theoretical digital value. The output of the control device to the output driver is set to ONE when the theoretical digital value is greater than the actual digital value. After a sampling period &Dgr;t, another analog measuring signal is received from the actuator and the regulation steps are repeated in an interrupt called in cycles and corresponding to the sampling interval.

Abstract: A method for influencing the drive torque in a drive train comprising at least one electric motor at least indirectly driving one driven wheel, an internal combustion engine, and an electric machine allowing mechanical coupling to said engine operating a generator and a motor. Each selected motor allows electric coupling to the generator. The system creates a device for presetting a driver's desire for movement of the vehicle, coupled at least indirectly to an actuator of the internal combustion engine. According to the invention, the electric motors are operated as generators, at least upon release of the system for presetting a driver's desire. Drawn from the driven wheels by the electric motors is a first output portion that is generated in generator mode and fed to the electric machine for driving the internal combustion engine.
