  • Publication number: 20070204834
Abstract: In a fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines, having at least one valve member that is axially displaceable in a valve body and is guided on a guide sleeve and on its end toward the combustion chamber of the engine has a valve sealing face which cooperates with a valve seat face on the valve body, and having at least one injection opening, which is provided downstream of the valve seat face and opens into the combustion chamber of the engine, a thrust rod, which controls the motion of the valve member, is disposed in the guide sleeve.

  • Patent number: 7100847
Abstract: A fuel injection valve with a valve body in which a valve needle that has a longitudinal axis can slide in the longitudinal direction in a bore. The combustion chamber end of the bore is provided with a conical valve seat between the valve needle and the wall of the bore a pressure chamber is formed, which can be filled with fuel and extends to the valve seat. The valve needle has a valve sealing surface that cooperates with the valve seat in order to control at least one injection opening leading from the valve seat and contains an annular groove that extends in a radial plane of the valve needle. The downstream edge of the annular groove is embodied as a sealing edge and is hydraulically connected to the pressure chamber on a continuous basis.

  • Patent number: 6269795
Abstract: A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines, having a valve member that is axially displaceable in a valve body and that with a sealing face cooperates, to control an injection opening, with a valve seat face on the valve body. An end of the valve member remote from the combustion chamber is urged in the closing direction by a valve spring disposed in a spring chamber. The valve member has a pressure shoulder acting in the opening direction, which protrudes into a pressure chamber that is filled with high fuel pressure. Via a throttle gap, the spring chamber communicates with the pressure chamber and is sealed off from a fuel return system, so that during the opening stroke motion of the valve member the spring chamber acts as a hydraulic damper.

  • Patent number: 6247452
Abstract: A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines, having an axially displaceable valve member which is disposed in a valve body. On an end toward an engine combustion chamber the valve member has a conical valve sealing face with which the valve member cooperates with a conical valve seat face on the valve body for controlling an injection cross section. Via an internal guide the valve member is guided slidingly displaceably on a tang of a stationary insert body.

  • Patent number: 6186419
Abstract: A fuel injection nozzle or fuel injector valve has a nozzle body, extending along a longitudinal axis, on which is configured a valve seat surface which coacts with a valve closure surface configured on a valve closure element to form a valve seat. At least one fuel stream, which has a radial directional component with respect to the longitudinal axis of the nozzle body, is sprayed out when the fuel injection valve or fuel injector nozzle is in an open state. A sleeve body axially overlaps the fuel stream in the direction of the longitudinal axis. The sleeve body has at least one impact surface which the fuel stream strikes. The impact surface is inclined at a predefined angle with respect to a vertical plane which runs vertically with respect to the longitudinal axis, and/or the impact surface is structured in fluted fashion on its surface.

  • Patent number: 5758829
Abstract: A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines with a valve member which is displaced in a bore in a valve body by the fuel pressure, counter to the action of a closing spring. The valve body has at a combustion-space end, a valve head which on a side which faces the valve body is arranged a sealing surface which interacts with a valve seat provided on the combustion-space end of the valve body, forming a sealing cross section, and including injection apertures which permit a flow of fuel from a pressure space in the valve body to the combustion space of the internal combustion engines and has an aperture cross section which can be varied as a function of the stroke of the valve member.
