Abstract: An input device for the selection of medical images for representation on a large display is provided. An image configuration can be selected for display on the large display from a plurality of image configurations by the input device. Selecting the image configuration enables a plurality of images for display on the large display and their arrangement on the display to be determined. The image configuration is created according to requirements of a medical workflow associated with the image configuration. A representation suitable for a medical workflow may be displayed on the large display.

Abstract: A large display is provided for the representation of medical images. The large display comprises at least a first and a second zone which can be controlled and operated independently of each other. Furthermore, an image configuration is provided which describes the representation on the large display during normal operation. Also provided is an emergency image configuration which describes the representation in the second zone of the large display in the event of failure or fault of the representation in the first zone. In the event of a fault, provision is made for switching over to an emergency operating mode in which the representation in the second zone is determined by the emergency configuration. The present embodiments have the advantage of providing protection against a failure of the large display, failure of which would disrupt medical operation.

Abstract: The present embodiments relate to an adaptation device and a method for representing a plurality of images on a large display. The adaptation device has a plurality of inputs for different types of medical image and is embodied for compiling an overall image from at least two different types of image in accordance with control information. In addition an output is provided for transmission of the overall image to the large display for the purposes of representation. The representation is adapted by the adaptation device for display on the large display in accordance with the control information. An advantage of the present embodiments may be that the representation of medical images on a large display can be adapted for a better visual impression.

The device includes a number of programs, which are assigned respectively to a medical workflow. The programs are configured for control of the display on the large-format display unit according to the associated workflow and can be called up by selecting the workflow. The device includes an interconnection unit; and a splitting unit connected to the interconnection unit via a common multi-channel transmission cable. The at least two imaging devices are connected to at least two inputs of the interconnection unit via at least one connecting cable, and an output of the splitting unit is connected to the at least two display elements via further connecting cables. The interconnection unit combines, at a common output, the image information provided at the at least two inputs on different image channels, and the splitting unit distributes, to at least two outputs of the splitting unit, the image information provided at a common input of the splitter unit via the transmission cable on different image channels.

Abstract: In a display system for image systems for the playback of medical images, a number of images are projected onto a passive imaging surface with a laser. The images are built up with a scan procedure. An arrangement is provided that acquires the attitude and position of the imaging surface relative to the laser and automatically sets a properly sized and attitudinally correct, distortion-free projection on the imaging surface.
