  • Publication number: 20050208214
Abstract: A conveyor system for a powder paint spray booth including spaced continuous parallel first and second moving belts supported by a plurality of spaced rollers enclosed within a sealed housing and a powder paint collector located below the powder paint spray booth which receives powder paint from between the sealed housings. The continuous belts are formed of stainless steel each having a width of less than ten inches and grating is provided between the housings permitting personnel to walk over the conveyor system without damaging the stainless steel belts. The collector system includes a V-shape baffle having an apex located between the conveyor housings directing powder paint into collectors on opposed'sides of the conveyor units.

  • Publication number: 20020162504
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for introducing and removing workpieces, especially vehicle bodies, into or from a treatment area (20) by rotational movements, whereby the treatment area serves for treating surfaces of the workpieces (1). A workpiece (1) is detachably fixed at a holding frame (2) which is moved together with at least one workpiece that is situated thereon at an essentially constant speed and by a continuous translation. The workpiece (1) is rotated around a rotational axle (6) at least at the beginning and end of the treatment area (20) and simultaneously with the translation movement. The rotational axle (6) is orientated vertically in relation to the moving direction of the holding frame (2) and is lifted and lowered during rotation.

  • Patent number: 6419983
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of introducing and removing workpieces, particularly vehicle bodies, into and out of a treatment area (20, 70) suitable for the surface treatment of the workpieces (1), wherein the workpieces (1) are detachably secured to mounting frames (7) that each have a rotary axis (13, 41, 61) aligned transverse to the direction of movement of the workpieces (1), the rotary axes (13, 41, 61) are continuously moved translationally and at a constant speed, and the workpieces (1) at the start and end of the treatment area (20, 70) are simultaneously rotated through about 180° around one of these rotary axes (13, 41, 61) in a controlled and always guided manner in the direction of the translational movement. The invention also relates to a device for the surface treatment of workpieces and a system for the surface treatment of vehicle bodies.
