  • Publication number: 20060277085
Abstract: A method for supplying a number of service providers with technical service devices makes is possible to reduce the expense incurred by a service provider for supplying its service employees with service devices and simultaneously and to improve the service processes of the service provider and/or its quality of service. According to the invention, a number of service devices are assigned to each of the service providers, and each of the service providers respectively perform services at a number of facility locations that are located at locations different from storage locations for service devices thereof.

  • Patent number: 7123074
Abstract: A multiplexer is disclosed. The multiplexer comprises a first input and a first channel coupled to the first input. The multiplexer further includes a second input and a second channel coupled to the second input. Finally, the multiplexer includes an output coupled to the first and second channels, wherein a coupling capacitance of an inactive one of the first and second channels is not coupled directly to the output. A method and system in accordance with the present invention reduces crosstalk and jitter in a multiplexer by eliminating the coupling capacitance between an inactive input and the output. In so doing, there is significantly better isolation between channels thereby minimizing the aforementioned cross-talk and jitter.

  • Publication number: 20060061407
Abstract: A multiplexer circuit for selecting one of first and second input signals based on a first input select signal includes a multiplexer, a control circuit and an enable buffer. The multiplexer selects one of the first and second input signals based on a second input select signal generated by the control circuit and provides a second output signal. The control circuit receives the second output signal and the first input select signal to generate the second input select signal and an enable signal where the signals have transitions synchronized to the transitions of the second output signal. The enable buffer operates to allow or disallow the second output signal to be passed as the output signal of the multiplexer circuit in response to the enable signal. The multiplexer circuit operates to eliminate runt pulse generation during the switching over of the input signals to provide an error-free output data stream.

  • Publication number: 20050278914
Abstract: A yarn withdrawal apparatus for continuously withdrawing a yarn from a feed yarn package and then from a reserve package, where the trailing yarn end on the feed package is knotted to the leading end of the yarn on the reserve package. The transition of the yarn from the feed yarn package to the reserve yarn package is detected by a sensor, which includes a movable yarn guide, which moves during the transition from an inactive position to a signaling position in a first degree of freedom of movement. To prevent the movable yarn guide from rebounding when it reaches the signaling position, the yarn guide or an element connected thereto defines a second degree of freedom of movement which is different from the first degree of freedom of movement, and such that after the rebound the movement is of such a kind that a departure from the signaling position back toward the inactive position is geometrically not possible.

  • Patent number: 5844494
Abstract: Method of diagnosing failures in a production process of a synthetic filament yarn, in which a first process parameter dependent on the process control is continuously measured and evaluated, and in which as a function of the evaluation or course derived therefrom an indication signal is generated, there being continuously measured and evaluated at least a second reference parameter dependent on the process control, and the indication signal being generated, when an error-typical behavior is found in the first and in at least one additional parameter.

  • Patent number: 5682146
Abstract: Method of monitoring the quality of an advancing yarn by continuously measuring the yarn tension, which includes determining the progression of the yarn tension upon occurrence of a defined failure (failure record), storing the failure record in a data memory, comparing the measured yarn tension with the failure record and generating an alarm signal, when a range of the yarn tension progression shows a similarity to the failure record.

  • Patent number: 5665043
Abstract: A godet for heating and advancing yarns which includes a stationary support member and a rotatable member which includes a heatable godet jacket. The temperature of the godet jacket is measured by means of temperature sensors, the output signals of which are transmitted by induction from the rotatable member to the stationary member. The godet is provided with an electronic memory, which is connected with the temperature sensors and stores the data supplied by the temperature sensors. The memory is connectible to a data transmission unit, and the data are transmitted by induction between a stationary primary coil and a rotating secondary coil, which also provides the supply of voltage to the rotating member. In this conjunction, it is possible to transmit the data both from the rotating member to the stationary member of the godet and from the stationary member to the rotating member.

  • Patent number: 5440870
Abstract: A method and apparatus for monitoring the quality of the yarn processed on a false twist texturing machine is disclosed, and which includes sensing the tension of the advancing yarn at a location immediately downstream of the false twist unit, and determining the coefficient of variation of the sensed tension. An error signal is generated whenever the coefficient of variation exceeds a predetermined upper limit and whenever the coefficient of variation drops below a predetermined lower limit. Also, an alarm signal is generated whenever the error signal exceeds the predetermined upper limit for a predetermined time, and whenever the error signal drops below the predetermined lower limit for a predetermined time, and the alarm signals are counted so as to provide an indication of the quality of the yarn.

  • Patent number: 5369945
Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling a false twist texturing machine, which extends the previously known process for controlling operation during the normal operation of the machine, to exceptional operating conditions, such as during yarn thread-up and/or restarting after a temporary stoppage of operation by reason of a power failure. In accordance with the invention, the known method which includes control of the frictional force imparted to the yarn as a function of the yarn tension, is modified in such a manner that during periods other than normal operation, the control of the frictional force as a function of the yarn tension is terminated, and a predetermined frictional force is imparted to the yarn.

  • Patent number: 5270951
Abstract: A method of storing in a memory having a predetermined number of storage spaces signals representative of deviations in the tension continuously monitored in a plurality of strands of yarn running in a textile machine. The signals from the individual strands are sequentially fed into a memory and are initially stored in the available spaces. Once the memory is filled, the highest number of earlier stored signals is reduced by later signals being written over them.

  • Patent number: 5017911
Abstract: A method and apparatus measures the tension of an advancing yarn which is subject to interruptions of the yarn path, resulting for example from the severance of the yarn. During such interruptions, the zero setting of the tension sensor does not always return to zero, thereby providing an erroneous output reading during subsequent yarn advancing cycles. In accordance with the present invention, a circuit is provided which identifies such errors and sounds an alarm when the error exceeds a predetermined limit. Also, the erroneous output signal is input as the zero point signal for the subsequent yarn advancing cycle, and during such subsequent cycle, the tension is determined on the basis of the newly set zero point.
