Abstract: A fixing element is provided for fixing a household appliance to a part of the kitchen cabinetry, which is adjacent to the household appliance. The fixing element is configured as a fixation lug and is disposed between the household appliance and the part substantially at least over the total height of the part of the kitchen cabinetry. A compact fixing element is thus obtained, which permits a precise, stable, easy and economic fixation of the household appliance into an opening in the kitchen cabinetry. Another advantage of the lateral fixing element is the clean and pleasant aspect thereof. Moreover, a flexible use of only one type of fixing element is possible, due to the fact that the element can be used independently of the counter top material as well as in case of elevated mounting of the appliance or in the case of a cutout counter top.

Abstract: A device for monitoring the functioning of a rotating liquid-discharging appliance includes at least one collecting chamber with at least one inlet orifice, at least one outlet orifice, and at least one sensor. The outlet orifice of the collecting chamber has a smaller cross section than the inlet orifice, and the sensor is a level sensor that transmits signals to an evaluation apparatus, by which an entire functioning of the rotating liquid-discharging appliance can be monitored. The monitoring device is disposed approximately in a region acted upon with liquid by the appliance to be monitored.

The housing having an internal height and the pair of retractable pull-out dishwashing system containers having a total combined height less than the internal height of the housing. The lower container can be height adjustably mounted and the upper and lower containers can have different individual heights.

Abstract: The invention relates to a a method for operating a dish washing machine (1) comprising, inside a washing tub (3), at least one spraying device (6), to which a pump (8) supplies washing liquid and which is provided with spraying openings (5). The washing liquid is sprayed into the washing tub (3) via said spraying openings (5). The aim of the invention is to be able to easily detect when the spraying openings (5) become clogged. To this end, the pump (8) is switched on and washing liquid can be supplied even when the washing tub) (3) is accessible. In doing this, the flow rate of the washing liquid through the spraying openings (5), however, is simultaneously reduced to such an extent as to prevent washing liquid from spraying out of the open washing tub (3) and into the free surrounding area.

Abstract: A height-adjusting foot for a household appliance includes an adjuster housing solidly connected to an appliance housing. A vertical threaded shaft is form-lockingly guided in the adjuster housing. A foot plate is connected to the threaded shaft. A nut which is rotatably supported in the adjuster housing and is screwed on the threaded shaft, has an outer periphery with a worm wheel. A worm is rotatably supported in the adjuster housing for driving the worm wheel. An adjusting rod is connected to the worm. Due to reduced expenditures, the costs of the adjusting device are lowered. It can be operated from one side wall of the housing, preferably from the front panel of the household appliance. The adjusting foot does not co-rotate in the adjusting operation.

Abstract: A dishwasher includes at least one adjustable-height basket to which an associated spray arm and its inlet tube are secured. The inlet tube is disposed horizontally and is connected by a coupling to a supply line secured to a side wall of a tub. An open connection fitting and two closed blind fittings protrude toward the inlet tube. The coupling has two openings into which the connecting fitting and one of the blind fittings respectively protrude. In order to provide a simple way of assuring the joining together of the coupling to the fittings, and to assure that pressure losses in the water supply to the spray arm connected to the coupling through the use of the supply and resultant worsening of the cleaning action are effectively avoided, regardless of how the basket is loaded, the coupling has an end oriented toward the supply line with a centering plate and downstream thereof a sealing plate having flexible sealing lips and being freely movable between a housing of the coupling and the centering plate.

Abstract: In order to provide in a simple way a household appliance, operated with water with a sensor (10) for contaminations of a circulated cleaning fluid, said sensor being composed of an element (11) transmitting optical signals and of an element (12) receiving optical signals, in which appliance erroneous measurements of the sensor (10) for contaminations of a circulated cleaning fluid are avoided, according to the invention the sensor (10) is arranged in a flow heater (1).
