    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a sensor assembly for simultaneously capturing an angular position and a torque of a rotatable shaft. The sensor assembly comprises, for determining the angular position, a main body, two additional bodies, which are arranged coupled for rotation on the main body, and two angle resolvers, which are arranged on a circuit board in the immediate vicinity of the additional bodies. In this arrangement, the angles of the additional bodies are determined by the angle resolvers and passed as an angle signal to an evaluation unit arranged on the circuit board. The sensor assembly further comprises a direct coating, which captures a torque signal from the rotating shaft and passes this signal over a connection line to the evaluation unit. The connection line has a section wound multiple times around the shaft to permit a rotation of the shaft by at least +/?900°.

    Abstract: A steering element sensor assembly for sensing a steering torque and an absolute angular position having a circuit board and first and second sensor elements. The circuit board has a base surface arranged perpendicularly to a steering axis and a wing surface angled to the base. The first sensor element determines the steering torque and has a first primary sensor formed as a magnetically coded portion on the steering element and one secondary sensor for converting the changing magnetic field generated by the primary sensor into an electrical signal. The secondary sensor determines the absolute angular position and a main gear arranged on the steering element that meshes with at least two gears, one which has one more tooth than the other. Each gear has a target that faces a respective angle sensor.

    Abstract: A method test an arrangement for measuring a torque acting on a steering shaft of a motor vehicle. The measurement is carried out using the inverse magnetostrictive effect. The steering shaft has an axis and at least two magnetization areas extending circumferentially around the axis. The arrangement comprises at least four magnetic field sensors for measuring an axial component of a magnetic field caused by the magnetization as well as by the torque. There are at least two combinations of at least two of the magnetic field sensors each, each of which is sufficient to measure the torque. First and second measurement values of the torque are determined with first and second combinations of the magnetic field sensors. The first measurement value and the second measurement value are compared, as a result of which a malfunction of the arrangement can be recognized.
