  • Publication number: 20100253768
Abstract: An apparatus and method for generating and displaying a stereoscopic image on a mobile computing device. The apparatus includes an autostereoscopic overlay which is secured over at least a portion of the screen of the mobile computing device, such as by using a case. Computer-readable instructions are executed on the mobile computing device to align two captured images, if necessary, and interlace them into an interlaced image for subsequent display to the screen of the mobile computing device. When the displayed image is viewed by the user of the mobile computing device through the autostereoscopic overlay, the image appears as a stereoscopic (or three-dimensional) image.

  • Patent number: 4922216
Abstract: An electromagnetic switching device comprises a solenoid actuator 18 including an armature 22, the reciprocating movement of which is converted by a pair of levers 25, 26 to a reciprocating counter-movement of a contact slider 16 extending parallel thereto. The contact slider 16 is provided with bridge contacts 17b which cooperate with stationary contacts 12 fixed within a base 10. Outwardly projecting guide members 30 which are provided on the solenoid actuator 18 and extend through recesses 31 formed in the levers 25, 26 serve to support the latter. Upon assembly, the solenoid actuator 18 is equipped with the levers 25, 26 and the contact slider 16 to form an assembly unit which is inserted as it is into the base 10. In this assembly unit, the levers 25, 26 are retained in position so that the assembly step can be performed easily and rapidly without any mounting aids.

  • Patent number: 4774485
Abstract: The magnetic drive of an electromagnetic contactor comprises two spaced coils (10,11) having a coaxial bore in which an armature (14) is mounted for reciprocal movement between two end positions. A control slider (21) is disposed between the coils (10,11) with its two sides forming stops for the armature (14). When the armature (14) is changed over from one to the other end position, the slider is also changed over and limits, at the mid-position, the return movement of the armature (14) from the respective end position. In a contactor designed for tri-stable operation, undesired movement of the armature beyond the mid-position is avoided, which could otherwise lead to an inadvertent change-over of the armature (14) to the other end position. If the contactor is designed for monostable mid-position operation, oscillation of the armature (14) about the mid-position is prevented, so that this mid-position is stabilized.

  • Patent number: 4563052
Abstract: A metallic plug and socket are joined to each other by a bayonet locking device to define an interior space which contains the contacts and which is sealed against the intrusion of electromagnetic waves by an O-ring as well as by a resilient contactor ring between the metallic casings of the plug and the socket. The contactor ring consists of a comb-like slit spring strip having a cross-piece lies between the plug and a contact inset and has comb roots pointed toward the socket. The comb tines are turned in a direction away from each other and recessed into the interior wall of the plug. The diameter of the contactor ring is greater in the range of the ends of the comb tines than is the diameter of the forward end of the socket casing which is to be pushed into place. The contact insert is provided with flanges which press the turned comb roots of the contactor ring into a groove in the wall of the plug.

  • Patent number: 4527855
Abstract: An electrical plug connection having a connection casing and a tubular adapter screwed on to the latter which encloses a space for the wires of the cable which includes a traction relief cable. The traction relief cable is tensionally connected to a traction relief anchor which is braced within the adapter by a ring-shaped support shoulder which reduces the interior diameter of the adapter.

  • Patent number: 4499345
Abstract: A snap switch having an activating plunger which, when depressed, establishes an operative connection with a return spring, and causes the tensioning of a spring force accumulator. A ferromagnetic anchor is mounted pivotable about an axis running at right angles to the direction of the plunger. The anchor forms a jump member and is a component of a magnetic clamp arrangement containing a permanent magnet. The anchor activates at least one movable contact. The jumping action is initiated in both switching directions by the creation of an air gap between the anchor and its respective abutting surface in the magnet clamp. The magnetic clamp arrangement is formed by at least one yoke by way of which a magnetic circuit is closed in both positions of the anchor.

  • Patent number: 4490701
Abstract: Switchgear consisting of a polarized magnetic drive and a contact apparatus placed thereabove is disclosed. The contact apparatus includes an adjusting slider which is movable to actuate bridge contacts and is operably connected to return springs which urge it to a neutral position. To obtain two or three stable positions of the adjusting slide without constructional modifications of the switchgear, the coil form for the magnetic drive is divided into two chambers which are spaced apart, are arranged side by side, and accommodate two coil windings. Between the coil forms and symmetrical to the longitudinal axis of the coil form is connected to a permanent magnet arrangement which is polarized at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the coil form and has a central through-port for a central armature.

  • Patent number: 4471179
Abstract: A quick-break snap switch having an activating plunger which, when depressed, establishes an operative connection with a return spring and causes the charging of a spring force accumulator. A ferromagnetic anchor is mounted pivotable about an axis running at right angles to the direction of the plunger activation. The anchor forms the jump member and is a component of a magnetic clamp arrangement containing a permanent magnet. The anchor activates at least one movable contact. The jumping action is initiated in both switching directions by the creation of an air gap between the anchor and its respective abutting surface in the magnet clamp. The magnetic clamp arrangement contains at least one yoke by means of which a magnetic circuit is closed in both positions of the anchor.

  • Patent number: 4224489
Abstract: The snap action switch has a spring biased plunger carrying directly or indirectly at least one articulated contact carrier extending laterally from opposite sides of the plunger and having two convex contacts of cylindrical, semi-circular or prism configuration. These contacts cooperate with stationary contacts arranged in pairs and including at least two pairs with a total of four contacts arranged in a near-rectangle; the contacts of each pair are inclined to each other for defining a trough-like configuration for concurrent engagement with one of the contacts on the carrier. This way, a total of four contact make and break points is defined for a single current path.

  • Patent number: 4048600
Abstract: A relay has the contacts arranged in that two pairs of contacts on the armature are arranged so that the contacts of one pair extend at right angles, to the contacts of the other pair, but parallel to a hinge axis. Insulative partitions separate the contacts of the former pair individually from the contacts of the latter pair. Magnetic blower is provided for arc extinguishing.

  • Patent number: 4032869
Abstract: The non-electric portion of the relay is constructed in two part configuration, one part being a coil carrier having a flange with wall structure covered by the other part, a head piece. The head piece has partitions to define arc chambers and carries one set of contacts and blowing magnets on the outside, the wall structure of the flange carries the other set of contacts and establishes internally the pivot path for the armature on the flange. The parts have indexing means for positioning and are bolted together.
