  • Publication number: 20130046040
Abstract: A polyethylene powder has a molecular weight in the range of about 300,000 g/mol to about 2,000,000 g/mol as determined by ASTM-D 4020, an average particle size, D50, between about 300 and about 1500 ?m, and a bulk density between about 0.25 and about 0.5 g/ml. On sintering, the polyethylene powder produces a porous article having a porosity of at least 45% and a pressure drop less than 5 mbar. The porous article is useful in, for example, wastewater aeration and capillary and filtration applications.

  • Patent number: 6489388
Abstract: It has been found that, in particular, a molding composition comprising (A) from 80 to 99.8% by weight of a polyoxymethylene homopolymer or copolymer, (B) from 0.1 to 10% by weight of a polyalkylene glycol and (C) from 0.1 to 10% by weight of a zinc oxide, where the sum of the percentages by weight of components (A) to (C) in each case gives 100%, is suitable for the production of moldings for applications with direct contact with diesel fuel or gasoline. Moldings produced therefrom satisfy the increased demands regarding resistance to aged fuels, diesel fuel at high long-term service temperatures and aggressive gasoline.
