  • Patent number: 10570818
Abstract: A length-adjustable connecting rod has a first rod part and a second rod part, with the rod parts being displaceable telescopically toward and/or in one another by means of a length-adjusting means, and with the length-adjusting means being chargeable via a hydraulic channel with a hydraulic medium. The hydraulic channel is fluidly connectable by means of a control device to a hydraulic medium supply channel. The control device has a first and a second valve, each with a valve chamber and each with a valve body that can be pressed by a restorative force against a valve seat. The valve chamber of the first valve is fluidly connected to a first hydraulic channel, and the second valve chamber of the second valve to a second hydraulic channel. The valve bodies are operatively interconnected via a connecting device that can be displaced between a first position and a second position.

  • Patent number: 10294859
Abstract: The invention relates to a length-adjustable connecting rod (1) for a reciprocating-piston machine, in particular for an internal combustion engine, comprising at least one first rod part (6) having a small connecting rod eye (2) and a second rod part (9) having a large connecting rod eye (4), which two rod parts can be moved in relation to each other and/or in each other in a telescopic manner, wherein the second rod part forms a guiding cylinder (8) and the first rod part forms a piston element (7) that can be longitudinally displaced in the guiding cylinder, wherein a first high-pressure chamber (10) is spanned between the second rod part and the piston element on the side of the piston element facing the large connecting rod eye, into which first high-pressure chamber at least one first oil channel (20) leads, in which in particular a first check valve (21) opening in the direction of the first high-pressure chamber is arranged, wherein at least a first return channel (22) extends from the first high-pres

  • Patent number: 10184366
Abstract: A valve actuating device for variable valve control wherein at least one articulation point between a valve lever and a gas exchange valve, or a force transmission element which acts on the gas exchange valve, is adjustable by way of an adjusting device which includes a piston displaceably mounted in the valve lever, a piston rod which is connected to the piston is connected in an articulated manner at a first articulation point to a first end of a push rod whose second end is connected in an articulated manner at a second articulation point to the gas exchange valve, or the force transmission part which acts on the gas exchange valve, the first articulation point being displaced in the longitudinal direction of the piston rod at least between a first position and a second position.

  • Patent number: 9670952
Abstract: The invention relates to a length-adjustable con rod (1) for a reciprocating piston engine, particularly an internal combustion engine, having at least a first and a second rod part (2, 4), wherein the two rod parts (2, 4) can be pushed together and/or inside one another in a telescoping manner, wherein the second rod part (4) forms a guide cylinder (4a) and the first rod part (2) a piston element (3) which can be pushed longitudinally in the guide cylinder (4a), wherein a high-pressure chamber (4b), into which at least one oil channel (10) opens, is clamped between the first and the second rod parts (2, 4). To enable the compression ratio to be adjusted in the simplest and most reliable manner possible, according to the invention the two rod parts (2, 4) can be fixed, by a locking device (32), relative to one another in at least one position, preferably corresponding to a minimum length of the con rod (1).
