  • Publication number: 20070147975
Abstract: In aircraft construction, connection elements for connecting layers of insulating material onto walls are subject to special requirements for ease of installation, weight considerations, and resistance to heat. The invention provides a connection arrangement, in particular for superimposed layers of material, whose function is not impaired under extreme heat. The connection arrangement is comprised by a pin with a, head or head arrangement, engaging positions, and a retaining element. The pin, the head or the head arrangement, and retaining element are made up of a skeleton and an outer material where the skeleton is made of a material more resistant to heat than the outer material. Following destruction or removal of the outer material by heat, the remaining skeleton parts of the pin, head part, and retaining element maintain their connections and structure keeping the layers of material in place.

  • Patent number: 7107697
Abstract: Measuring-point bolt including a body having a first end and a second end. The first end has an internal opening adapted to receive a measuring device pin. The second end is adapted connect to a hollow pin of another measuring device. A main internal opening is arranged within the body and communicates with the internal opening of the first end. A spring is arranged within the main internal opening. A element is movably arranged within the body. The element is structured and arranged to prevent entry of foreign particles into the body. A sealing member is at least one of non-removably connected to the second end and permanently fixed to the second end. The sealing member is adapted to prevent equalization of air pressure between an outside atmosphere and the main internal opening. This Abstract is not intended to define the invention disclosed in the specification, nor intended to limit the scope of the invention in any way.

  • Patent number: 6837661
Abstract: A detachable insert connection arrangement adapted to be connected to a retaining channel having a slot-like opening between two retaining edges and method of connecting a component to a retaining channel. The connection arrangement includes a holder having a push-in part that includes a locking element. The push-in part is capable of being pushed into the retaining channel. A rotation pin is coupled to the locking element. The locking element is at least partially rotatable in two directions. A spring biases the locking element towards a locking position such that when the locking element is arranged in the retaining channel, the locking element bridges the slot and engages an inside of the two retaining edges. The locking element is movable, upon movement of the rotation pin against a biasing force of the spring, to a non-locking position, whereby the push-in part can be removed from the retaining channel.

  • Publication number: 20040240933
Abstract: Detachable locking arrangement that includes a push-in element, a receiving member having an insertion opening structured and arranged to receive therein the push-in element and a a locking device which is insertable into a clearance area of the receiving member. The clearance area is defined by a space arranged between the push-in element and an inner surface of the receiving member when the push-in element is inserted in the insertion opening. The locking device prevents removal of the push-in element from the receiving member when the push-in element is inserted within the insertion opening and when the locking device is inserted into the clearance area, thereby defining a locked position. The locking device is structured and arranged to automatically and releasably lock with the receiving member. This Abstract is not intended to define the invention disclosed in the specification, nor intended to limit the scope of the invention in any way.

  • Publication number: 20040115030
Abstract: Connection arrangement for detachably connecting a first component to a second component. The arrangement includes a retaining bolt adapted to extend through the first component. The retaining bolt includes an external thread. A connector device is adapted to receive the retaining bolt. The connector device includes at least two shell-shaped threaded-nut segments and a housing which includes an opening adapted to receive an end of the retaining bolt and an internal taper which tapers towards the opening. Each of the at least two shell-shaped threaded-nut segments are arranged in the housing and include an outer tapered surface which movably engages the inner tapered surface of the housing. A mechanism for biasing the at least two shell-shaped threaded-nut segments towards the opening of the housing is utilized. A vibration-damping member is provided. The connector device is mounted to the vibration damping member.
