  • Publication number: 20010010691
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process and also to a service computer, a switching center, terminals, program modules and memory means with program modules for handling incoming telephone calls for a subscriber line (VA1) of a telecommunications network (PSTN) during an online data-network session blocking the subscriber line (VA1). In this process a terminal (TERA) sets up a connection (VA11, VA1, VPOP1) to an online data-network access device (POP) via the subscriber line (VA1). Thereupon the online data-network access device (POP) sends current access data to the terminal (TERA), which the terminal (TERA) signals to a service computer (SCP) of the telecommunications network.

  • Patent number: 4807737
Abstract: A manually actuated self-collecting parking meter includes a single lockable coin insertion device for receiving a range of available coin diameters. A coin checking device is arranged to receive one coin at a time from the insertion device and is placed in operation by turning a rotary locking handle. A parking time period display mechanism is arranged to be set based on the coin inserted into the checking device when the handle is rotated. The rotary locking handle can be rotated in either direction up to a stop for loading a force accumulator which automatically drives an operating mechanism for effecting the operation of the coin checking device and the setting of the display mechanism. For proper phase control of the operating mechanism, a closing segment and an operating segment are provided which uncouple the operating mechanism when the rotary handle is completely rotated so that the automatic operation is carried out.

  • Patent number: 4722505
Abstract: A mount for a record player with variable antivibration controls that make it possible for the user of the player to separately establish an optimum antivibration setting depending on the conditions of the specific surface that the player is resting on and on the overall acoustical conditions with respect to footstep and acoustical feedback.

  • Patent number: 4715223
Abstract: A device for testing the magnetic properties of coins in coin operated apparatus such as parking meters, used in conjunction with a coin diameter testing device. The device includes a double arm rocker lever provided on a side wall of a coin guiding duct. A first arm of the rocker lever is equipped with a permanent magnet and the latter extends through an opening of the side wall into the range of a coin which has been inserted into the coin guiding duct and which temporarily rests on a coil support. A second arm of the rocker lever includes a locking bracket which can be controlled so as to be in and out of engagement with a testing segment required for the test for determining the diameter of coins.

  • Patent number: 4607739
Abstract: A coin activated timer mechanism particularly useful as a parking meter including a sensing device for sensing the value of coins received in a coin receiving device in order to actuate through a transmission lever a time indicator mechanism which includes a timer disc rotatable in individual angular steps for providing an indication of a time period dependent upon the value of the coins received. A clockwork mechanism returns the time indicator mechanism to a position indicating expiration of the time period and a function lever operates to effect actuation of the timer disc through the individual angular steps. The function lever is driven by the transmission lever to a position at which the time indicator mechanism is released with the timer disc being simultaneously guided to a position indicating a determined time allotment.

  • Patent number: 4183205
Abstract: An arrangement for resetting a coin operated parking meter is disclosed. By the use of a sensor to monitor a parking space, it can be determined when a vehicle leaves the parking space with parking time remaining. A resetting device within the meter clears the meter of remaining parking time. The resetting device includes an electric motor, a cam disk affixed to the motor shaft and a coupling member arranged between the cam disk and time indicating portion of the meter. The coupling member returns an indicator of the time indicating portion to a defined initial angle position. The resetting device is responsive to an electrical signal received from the sensor.

  • Patent number: 3977507
Abstract: Coins inserted into a parking meter are tested as to diameter, the presence of one or more holes and the content of ferromagnetic material. In the latter test, the coins are transported through a coin transport channel extending intermediate a coin-insertion location and a coin receptacle. The channel has a breadth which exceeds the thickness of the coins to be processed by an amount permitting coins passing through the channel to shift in direction transverse to the direction of their travel. A magnet arrangement attracts magnetically attractable coins into contact with a wall of the channel as such coins pass through the channel. A sensing arrangement controls the setting of a parking time in dependence upon whether coins passing through the channel are attracted into contact with the wall.

  • Patent number: 3961695
Abstract: A parking meter includes a timing unit, a coin receiver which can receive coins of different diameters, and a first and a second normally blocked lever which are biased for movement in mutually opposite directions about a joint axis of rotation into detecting engagement with a plurality of angularly spaced points on the circumference of the coin in the receiver, so as to detect the diameter of such coin. A manually operable arrangement serves to unblock the levers for their movement, and for subsequent joint angular displacement through a distance which is dependent upon the detected coin diameter. A control arrangement on one of the levers sets the timing unit to an interval whose length is a function of the aforementioned distance.
