  • Patent number: 6362969
Abstract: Described is an arrangement for supporting a circuit board (28) having functional components (30) on a carrier (16) of a projectile (10). The carrier (16) has a metal plate (18). The circuit board (28) comprises a carbon fibre-reinforced plastic material. Provided between the circuit board (28) and the metal carrier plate (18) is an elastic damping layer (26). The circuit board (28) and the damping layer (26)—like the metal carrier plate (18)—are spaced with their peripheral edges from the inside wall of the housing of the projectile (10).

  • Patent number: 4944224
Abstract: An igniting medium incorporating a support member, the latter of which is passed through by electrical leads extending towards an ignition bridge. The support member is constructed as a shunt-capacitance which is connected to the electrical lead lines for the ignition bridge.

  • Patent number: 4802414
Abstract: A multiple-contact plug connection for electrically-actuatable triggering media. The multiple-contact plug connection has an identifying capacitor connected in parallel with each triggering device, whereby the values of the capacitances of the identifying capacitors for different triggering devices will clearly distinguish from each other.

  • Patent number: 4776277
Abstract: A method for implementing an operational or functioning test on electrically-actuatable ignition or detonation-triggering circuits for ammunition, wherein the circuits are arranged on board the ammunition. Moreover, also disclosed is an arrangement for the implementation of an operational test of electrically-actuatable ignition or detonation-triggering circuits for the ammunition, wherein the circuits are arranged on board the ammunition.

  • Patent number: 4750426
Abstract: An article of submunition, having a housing on which there is arranged an outwardly extendable distance feeler or spacer support. A head on the support carries a sensor which is connected through the intermediary of a connector cable to an evaluating circuit which is arranged within the housing. The connector cable is formed as a ribbon-shaped or flat cable which is constituted of plastic material, in which the flat cable is bifilarly or double wound into a spiral, wherein the winding axis lies transversely of the longitudinal direction of the flat cable, in which the spiral of the flat cable has its shape stabilized through a thermal treatment, and in which the spiral is located adjacent the distance feeler support.

  • Patent number: 4704965
Abstract: A blind-setting or protective blocking device for a detonator, in particular for a detonator of a launched bomb, in which a release or tripping lever maintains a securing slider in a secured position. The tripping lever is maintained against the force of a spring through the intermediary of two latching elements, wherein, as a rule, the first latching element is released by an electronic circuit of the detonator within the launch tube or barrel, and the second latching element is released by the circuit subsequent to exiting from the launch tube, as a result of which the securing slider is placed into the armed position. The tripping lever is equipped with a projection which is associated with a contact stop on the securing slider, and in which the projection, in the secured position, is located outside of the path of movement of the contact stop, and pivots into the path of movement of the contact stop when the second latching element is also released prior to exiting from the launch tube.

  • Patent number: 4091608
Abstract: A timer clock of the type having a time-of-day recording mechanism, a switch electrically connectible to an electric device, an adjustable timer wheel for controlling the switch, and a power source operably connected to drive said time-of-day recording mechanism and the timer wheel. The wheel has a first set of teeth defining a second timing period which is more extended than the first timing period. The power source includes a motor and a drive shaft driven by the motor. The drive shaft carries a first gear adjacent one end thereof for actuating the second set of teeth. The first gear is engageable with the second set of teeth to drive the timer wheel during the second timing period. The timer wheel carries gearing for actuating the switch at the end of a timing cycle. The drive shaft carries a pinion engageable with a second gear, the latter comprising part of the time-of-day recording mechanism.

  • Patent number: 3944795
Abstract: A setting mechanism incorporated in a digital display device which includes a movable first digit carrier; a motor driving the first digit carrier in a normal digit-advancing operation; and a movable second digit carrier. The setting mechanism has a drive member continuously driven by the motor, a clutch connected between the drive member and the second digit carrier. The clutch, when in its engaged state, couples the drive member to the second digit carrier for imparting a setting motion to the latter; and a manually operable actuator connected to the clutch for operating the same.
