  • Publication number: 20190352741
Abstract: Method and apparatus are provided to select precious metals slurries of ore and water. Slurry is directed to pass over detectors, each comprising a pair of low voltage electrodes. The electrodes are spaced apart to form a detection gap. A slurry sample, having metals therein, is received at the gap. Metals at the gap generate a signal to trigger actuation to shunt the sample slurry and metals therein to a collection stream. Each collection stream can be processed in a similar, yet subsequent, refinement stage. Remaining slurry passes by the detector for further processing or as waste. One or more detectors are provided and, preferably, an array of detectors is provided in series and in stages, for collection efficiency. Each series of detectors can be provided in parallel arrangements for increased collection capacity. Detectors can be housed in modular sampling units for shipping and assembly efficiency.

  • Patent number: 10272814
Abstract: Gravel boxes, open top containers with rolling roofs, and related methods. The rolling roof is used to cover open top containers for dry or liquid loads. The rolling roof may be manually operated with a ratcheting handle or motor in combination with two rolling mechanisms placed on each side of the roof. The rolling roof mechanism may be implemented by sliding the roof either to the left or to the right side of the container, and turning it from a horizontal position to a vertical position along the side wall. Such allows loading from either side of the container by using the full area of the opening.

  • Publication number: 20100269845
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to hair styling devices for curling and/or styling hair. In one embodiment, the hair styling device includes a glove with a cylinder removably or permanently attached thereto. The glove may be heat-resistant and the cylinder may be heat-conducting. In one embodiment, the cylinder may be positioned in a palm region of the glove. The glove may be utilized by a user to curl hair by wrapping a length of hair around the cylinder or a section of the cylinder. The hair may be curled by providing heated air (e.g., via a blow drier) onto the hair and cylinder, which may heat up so as to impart heat on the hair.
