    Abstract: A detachable link is disclosed having identical overlapping members secured together by a cylindrical pin. Lengths of chain can be joined quickly, and, when necessary, to be detached or separated from one another, quickly. One place where such detachable links find particular application is in a ship's anchor cable wherein the detachable links are used to join together shots or sections of chain.
