  • Publication number: 20080307912
Abstract: A transmission assembly, particularly for a straightening machine, has a least one drive and a number of power take-offs, which stand in an effect connection with the drive for a transfer of torque. At least one power take-off is coupled with a torque monitoring device independent of other power take-offs to monitor a power take-off moment that is in effect at the power take-off in question. The torque monitoring device is configured as a function of a result of the power take-off monitoring. The transmission assembly may be connected with a torque transfer mechanism, particularly articulated shafts, of a straightening machine for straightening materials, particularly in plate or strip form, having an arrangement of straightening rollers between which the material to be straightened is conveyed and which are driven by way of the torque transfer mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20040151058
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for regulating the minimal value of the pressure in the first half of the metering zone in a direction of conveyance in a single-screw degassing extruder or in a cascade extruder during the conveying of a melt consisting of a thermoplastic. The single-screw degassing extruder or the cascade extruder each have a first screw section (13), a degassing zone (14), a metering zone (22), and a measuring control loop (M), which includes a pressure measuring sensor (P) in the first half of the metering zone, a regulator (R) and an actuator (S) for influencing the pressure in the metering zone. The pressure is measured by the pressure measuring sensor (P) and is set by the regulator (R) and the actuator (S) so that the minimal value at the location of measurement ranges from 0.1 to 10 bar.

  • Patent number: 5867972
Abstract: A harvester thresher has a cutting mechanism, a reel having reel supporting arms, an exchangeable attachment which is releasably connected with the cutting mechanism, sliding shoes in which the reel is rotatably supported and which are synchronously forwardly and rearwardly displaceable on the reel supporting arms for adjusting the reel relative to the cutting mechanism, shaped parts arranged on the cutting mechanism and the attachment for moving the cutting mechanism and the attachment to a proper position, driving and pulling elements arranged on the sliding shoes and on the attachment and connectable with one another at a predetermined distance between the cutting mechanism and the attachment so that by moving back the reel the attachment is movable to an end position.

  • Patent number: 5289713
Abstract: In a device for connecting a wire to a contact element or the like by deformation of clamping members by means of pressure elements of a crimping tool arranged interchangeably in a press, for the purposes of refining the adjustability in respect of height, coaxially rotatably associated with an adjustment disk (13) which is provided at the pressure member side and which is rotatable about the axis (A) of an arresting pin (16) or the like holding member which faces in the pressing direction (x) is a further adjustment disk (14) at the clamping member side, wherein the two adjustment disks are each provided with at least one annular surface (108) which rises spiral-like in the pressing direction (x). Each of the annular surfaces (108) has a radial step edge (110) as the boundary between the beginning and the end of the rise. The heights of the step edges are also to be the same.

  • Patent number: 4112814
Abstract: A dowel and a method of anchoring the same in a blind hole or bore of a building or construction element are disclosed. The dowel comprises a central bolt having a spreader head about which there is arranged a segmented ring of shells held together by a resilient closing ring. The blind hole has a depth less than the combined axial length of the spreader head and the ring of shells and is provided with a frustum-shaped enlargement which converges toward the opening of the blind hole. According to the anchoring method of the invention, the dowel is inserted in the blind hole until it contacts the bottom and a portion of the ring of shells protrudes therefrom. The ring of shells is then urged over the spreader head such that the shells spread outwardly into the frustum-shaped enlargement, thereby firmly anchoring the dowel against axial displacement in the bore.
