    Abstract: A method of producing a fabric with antimicrobial properties that includes liquefying bamboo to produce a slurry, adding an antimicrobial element to the slurry, adding a non-bamboo fiber to the slurry to create a mixture and extruding the mixture to produce a fiber. The antimicrobial element may be silver particles that are ionized with a peroxide solution. The fabric may be incorporated into incontinence pads, garments and linens.
