    Abstract: A probe for use in time domain reflectometry includes a body having a conductive portion and an insulated portion. A conductive loop is provided having a first end and a second end. The first end is secured in the insulated portion of the body. The second end is secured in the conductive portion of the body, thereby shorting and grounding the conductive loop. An RF connector is provided for coupling the first end of the conductive loop to time domain reflectometry instrumentation.
