  • Patent number: 7239623
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for transferring messages between communication terminals, including a control computer controlling message transfer which transfers a token to a first communication terminal and grants the first communication terminal authorization to transmit a message, and transfers a reservation message to a charging system, which asks the charging system to reserve resources for charging for the transfer of the message. After receiving the token, the first communication terminal starts to transmit the message, which is addressed to a second communication terminal, and portions of the message which have been transmitted by the first communication terminal are transferred to the control computer and are buffer-stored therein, and after receiving a reservation confirmation message transferred to the control computer by the charging system upon successful reservation the control computer transfers the message to the second communication terminal.

  • Publication number: 20060085307
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method for service billing within a communication network, in which the billing system thereof requests a price list from the used service in order to determine an invoice sum for price recording system of said communication network. The invoice sum is determined by said billing system, and reserved on the billing account of the subscriber. At the end of the service use, the reserved invoice sum is checked by the billing system such that the invoice sum is determined again, and the reserved invoice sum is updated for any differences, In addition, at the end of the service use, the reserved invoice sum can be updated for a value which is set up in accordance to other parameters compatible to the subscriber, in particular, to the price and/or quantity reduction.

  • Publication number: 20050185781
Abstract: A method for transferring data between electronic payment systems, involving a provider payment system associated with a service provider receiving a start message from a provider communication terminal. The provider payment system then uses price data which relate to the service to ascertain a basic price for the service, and the provider payment system asks a memory device for user data which relate to earlier service requests from the service user. The provider payment system uses these user data to ascertain a price which is reduced in comparison with the basic price, and the provider payment system sends a price message which includes the reduced price to a user payment system which is associated with a service user. This prompts the user payment system to check whether an account associated with the service user has an account balance which is needed in order to debit this price.
