Abstract: The invention concerns a method for transmitting a flow of digital data and of controlled messages associated with said flow addressed to mobile terminals. The flow comprises successive bursts of data of encrypted contents with control words included in the control messages transmitted in parallel with said flow. The method is characterized in that it consists in inserting a control message in each transmitted burst of contents, said message containing at least one control word designed to decrypt the contents of said burst.

Abstract: A method for loading and managing a software application in a mobile equipment intended to receive digital data of mobile television services broadcasted via a unidirectional mobile network comprising system software stored in a memory and at least one security module. The application is associated with broadcasted mobile television services of the DVB-H type. The method, comprises a previous step of transmitting, at connection of the mobile equipment to a bidirectional mobile network, identification data of the mobile equipment and of the security module to the managing center, and a further step of reading by the system software of the mobile equipment a descriptor stored in the security module designating a server of the managing center suitable for providing the mobile equipment with the application or an update of said application by downloading into said mobile equipment via the bidirectional mobile network.

Abstract: The present invention may be deployed in a system for broadcast of conditional access content where it is desirable to detect and take action against receiver equipment which has been used in a control word sharing activity. By requiring that receiver equipment used in the system send a message to a broadcaster of conditional access content at a precise time, the invention provides a method for the server to detect receiver equipment involved in control word sharing activity and to inhibit that receiver's ability to further access the content.

Abstract: The present invention provides a solution to the problem of displaying enhanced video content from a remote server in situations where a connection to the remote server provides inadequate bandwidth to be able to do so. One solution involves pre-storing the enhanced video content locally, receiving a broadcast of a default format version of the enhanced content and displaying the enhanced content instead of the default format content. The present invention also provides a means for ensuring that such pre-stored content is only viewed at a predefined time and by viewers who are authorised to do so.
