  • Patent number: 9755411
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to an electrical receptacle and face plate outlet covering as an energy saving device by blocking any and all air infiltration from the receptacle area. The cover is made from recyclable plastic and is rectangular in shape, with insulating foam around the edges of the cover. There are sets of three cut-outs or Rule Steel Die Cut slits in the cover, which are matched and accommodated with a normal electrical plug or a plug lock to be plugged into the receptacle outlet.

  • Patent number: 8460075
Abstract: An assembly for covering a grill of an air conditioning unit that fits through a wall comprises a rigid or semi-rigid cover having a top, a perimeter flange to which a flexible sealing material is affixed, and having sides, the top having four corner apertures for insertion of the cords. Four elastic cords have a hook at one end and having a barrel lock slideably engaged to a second end. The barrel locks of the elastic cords collectively urge the cover against the wall so as to create an air-tight seal between the cover and the wall. The cover is urged against the wall and prevents unwanted upward hot air flow and downward cold air flow in the winter when the air conditioning system is not in use.

  • Patent number: 8342923
Abstract: An assembly for covering a grill of an air conditioning vent in the winter comprises a cover having a frame that may have a hole on a top surface and sides including a compressible material along its perimeter for sealing a vent area. In one preferred embodiment, the assembly includes an elastic cord having a looped end and a free end, the looped end being of adjustable size and having two hooks slidably connected to the cord. The hooks are configured to attach to the grill and pulling the free end of the cord tightens the looped end and the hooks. The free end may be attached to the cover so that sliding a barrel lock up the cord urges the cover against the vent area and prevents unwanted upward hot air flow and downward cold air flow in the winter when the air conditioning system is not in use.
