  • Publication number: 20230267997
Abstract: A method, a system, and computer program product for degradation-aware training of neural networks are provided. A degradation of degraded memory cells of a memory array is detected, during a training of a neural network. A first set of writing parameter values to be applied to the one or more degraded memory cells and a second set of writing parameter values to be applied to the undegraded memory cells is determined using a model of the memory array tuned to account for the degradation of one or more memory cells. A writing operation is executed, by applying the first set of writing parameter values to the one or more degraded memory cells to compensate for the degradation of the one or more degraded memory cells and by applying the second set of writing parameter values to the undegraded memory cell.

  • Patent number: 8889005
Abstract: A water filtering device includes a filter bag and an outer bag. The filter bag is internally provided with a first and a second filter unit. The first filter unit is connected at upper ends to a top opening of the filter bag to form a lower folded section and define a first water filtering space in the filter bag. The second filter unit is fixedly connected to a water outlet on a bottom of the filter bag and defines a second water filtering space in the filter bag. A filter material is provided in the second water filtering space. The outer bag covers the filter bag, such that a water storing space is formed between the outer bag and the filter bag. The water filtering device is conveniently portable and saves any assembling procedure, and can effectively filter water and store the filtered water.

  • Publication number: 20130254886
Abstract: A method includes determining, at a network routing device, an average packet drop rate for a plurality of aggregations of packet flows. The method also determines a threshold packet drop rate based on the average packet drop rate, a current packet drop rate for a select aggregation of the plurality of aggregations, and whether at least one packet flow of the select aggregation is potentially subject to a denial-of-service attack based on a comparison of the current packet drop rate to the threshold packet drop rate.

  • Patent number: 7860004
Abstract: A system for protecting a network from a traffic surge includes a data collection module, an allocation module, and a traffic flow module. The data collection module is configured to obtain network utilization information for a plurality of traffic flows. • Patent number: 7672005
Abstract: A method and apparatus for comparing portions of data from a digital raster signal to a plurality of scan blocks of data, where each scan block in the plurality describes either a defined image area or entire image frame is disclosed. Included are a hashing function that calculates hash codes for spatially-defined segments of an incoming raster signal; a recent scan hash table containing hash codes for scan blocks received within a specified time period; a comparator for comparing calculated hash codes for the spatially-defined segments of the incoming raster signal with hash codes stored in the recent scan hash table; a pixel capture and timing module for capturing a digital raster signal; and an output selector for selecting for transmission a compressed form of a scan block, a hash code index, or no data if a scan block exists in a remote frame playout buffer.

  • Patent number: 6226774
Abstract: A flip-flop-based circuit architecture generates a hazard-free asynchronous signal given the SET and RESET sum-of-product (SOP) solutions to an asynchronous process. The flip-flop SET and RESET SOP solutions can be hazardous. Thus, general purpose synchronous optimization tools (which are indifferent to hazards) can be used to derive the optimal SOP solutions. A fixed layer built around the SOP cores eliminates all hazards in the circuit. In one embodiment, the architecture is optimized by eliminating an RS latch and delay lines in the SOP cores. The architecture of the present invention is guaranteed to admit any semi-modular race-free state graph representation of an asynchronous process that satisfies the n-shot requirement. The state graph representations can be examined to determine if alternate, solution-specific, simplified architectures can be employed that further decrease the final area by the elimination of flip-flops or the elimination of a timing delay.

  • Patent number: 5870588
Abstract: A hardware and software co-design environment and design methodology based on a data-model that allows one to specify, simulate, and synthesize heterogeneous hardware and software architectures from a heterogeneous specification. The environment and methodology of the invention allow for the interactive synthesis of hardware and software interfaces. The environment defines primitive objects to represent a specification of an essentially digital system. The primitive objects are defined by describing the specification of the system in one or more processes, each process representing a functional aspect of the system. Further, each of the processes have ports which are connected to ports of other processes with a channel. The ports structure communication between the processes.

  • Patent number: 5467789
Abstract: A system which enables removal of phosphor from a CRT front panel flange. The system includes an air operated valve connected between a water supply and a nozzle. The air operated valve may be incrementally opened and closed, which enables a continuous stream of water to be discharged from the nozzle onto the phosphor to remove the phosphor. In addition, the system includes an air supply and a pair of speed controllers which control the rate at which the air operated valve opens and closes.
