  • Patent number: 5727417
Abstract: A hydraulic drive tool such as a crimping apparatus which includes a crimp head assembly and a body portion which are arranged in an axially elongated configuration to balance a grip area of the apparatus along the center of gravity of the apparatus. The crimping apparatus includes a hydraulic drive assembly having a wobble plate. The hydraulic drive assembly has an axially oriented piston arrangement in a hydraulic head to position an axially arranged configuration of the hydraulic drive assembly along a central axis of the apparatus. The wobble plate is configured to provide axially displaced, non-rotational, generally linear movement of a wobble ring to transfer reciprocal movement to pistons retained in the hydraulic block. The apparatus is configured with the hydraulic drive assembly centrally positioned in the body portion with the crimping head assembly at one end and a battery power source at an opposite end.

  • Patent number: 5142958
Abstract: A DIN rail cutter and punching apparatus for cutting a DIN rail to a selected length and for punching at least one mounting slot therethrough at a desired angular orientation comprises a shear for cutting the DIN rail and a punch and die set which is operatively coupled for operation in unison with the shear. The DIN rail cutter comprises a shear for cutting the DIN rail and is arranged for removably receiving a cutting die for accommodating any of a plurality of cutting dies for cutting different shapes of DIN rail. A rotating punch and die set for punching a DIN rail at any of a plurality of angular orientations comprises a punch mounting block; a punch rotatably mounted in the punch mounting block; a die mounting block and a die rotatably mounted in the die mounting block; the punch mounting block and the die mounting block are mounted for relative movement so as to advance and retract the punch into an out of engagement with the die.

  • Patent number: 4536107
Abstract: A self-feeding, self-aligning drill bit includes a working end with a cylindrical portion having a desired cutting diameter and a conical threaded portion extending therefrom terminating in a threaded tip. The diameter of the threaded portion increases from the tip toward the cylindrical portion such that it approaches the diameter of the cylindrical portion at their juncture. One or more flutes extend longitudinally through both the cylindrical portion and the threaded portion to form one or more cutting edges extending at an angle relative to the axis of the drill bit. The threaded portion may include one or more peripheral grooves staggered along the length of the threaded portion to provide additional cutting edges to reduce cutting torque. The threaded portion not only pulls the bit into the workpart but also the cutting edges thereof function to cut a preliminary hole and also cut apart the workpart debris to significantly reduce chip size.

  • Patent number: 4353232
Abstract: This apparatus contains a plurality of die-forming roller pairs which form corrugations longitudinally in ductile strip material. The die-forming rollers are gear driven from an electric motor of adjustable speed. One die roller of each pair has an eccentric mounting to provide adjustment of the space between roller pairs. The side edges of the strip material are formed into an inside and an outside seam element. A pair of rotatably mounted curling rollers provides the corrugated strip material with the proper radius of curvature and helical angle for convolution into corrugated tubing. An adjustment means is provided which simultaneously sets the proper position both pivotally and laterally of said curling roller pair according to tubing diameter selected. Radially adjustable guide rollers guide the circumference of the strip during convolution. A pair of support rollers and a run-out table support the tubing as it is produced.
