  • Patent number: 4128387
Abstract: A control circuit for use with spark ignition system disposed in a gas burner comprising a high voltage pulse circuit for developing the spark which is gated by a flame sensor. That same flame sensor also controls a timing and latch circuit connected to initially open the gas flow to the burner and to close such gas flow if burning is not established within a predetermined interval of time. The timing and latch circuit also includes components which after an unsuccessful start-up preclude further starting cycles until manual intervention takes place and control all failure modes to a shut-down condition.

  • Patent number: 4056891
Abstract: A latching circuit is inserted between the door switch of a dryer or any other unattended device and the operating components thereof. Thus when the door switch is opened the circuit is unlatched and a subsequent closure of the door will not resume operation of the device. To allow for such resumption a push-to-close switch is included across the latching circuit whereby a sequence of closing the door switch followed by manual depression of the push-to-close switch will restart the device.
