  • Publication number: 20210083976
Abstract: A method for content caching in information centric network virtualization includes receiving, by a first node, a first data packet; in response to a cache distance identifier hop of the first data packet being less than a preset maximum cache distance, setting hop=hop+1 and sending the first data packet to a next node by the first node; in response to the hop being not less than the preset maximum cache distance and there being available cache space in the first node, setting hop=0, storing the first data packet, and sending the first data packet to the next node by the first node. The node determines whether to cache a data packet based on the cache distance identifier of the data packet, which comprehensively considers the cache energy consumption caused by caching the data packet in the node and the transmission energy consumption caused by transmission of the data packet in the link, thereby effectively reducing the total energy consumption of the network.

Abstract: A digital circuit robustness verification method is provided that includes the following steps. An internal storage circuit and an external storage circuit corresponding to a circuit under test are set to store a plurality of random values and a configuration of the circuit under test for performing a predetermined function is set by a processing circuit. A driving signal corresponding to the predetermined function is transmitted to the circuit under test by a previous stage circuit, such that the circuit under test executes the predetermined function to further generate an output signal. The determination as to whether the output signal is correct or not is made by a next stage circuit, and the circuit under test is determined to pass a robustness verification when the output signal is correct.

  • Publication number: 20210056106
Abstract: An apparatus, method and computer program product for query optimization in a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS), wherein an optimizer accesses a query expression repository (QER), so that the optimizer learns from previous versions of the queries to improve current and subsequent versions of the queries. The QER stores planning and execution information for QEs from the previous versions of the queries, wherein the QEs comprise table relations, intermediate results and/or final results of operations in the previous versions of the queries. The optimizer searches the QER for QEs from the query execution plans, and uses information from the QEs stored in the QER when optimizing the current and subsequent versions of the queries. The optimizer may also reuses results from the QEs stored in the QER.

  • Patent number: 10705869
Abstract: An appliance migration mechanism (AMM) optimizes migration of a live virtual appliance with virtual objects between cloud environments to minimize temporary connections that use significant cloud resources during the migration. The AMM determines a cost of connections of each virtual object in the virtual appliance and produces an order of migration for the virtual objects. The cost of connections of the virtual objects may be determined by the total number of connections and the maximum number of connections. Alternatively the cost of the connections of the virtual objects for migration could be determined by a weighting the costs of the connections where the weighting may consider loading or other factors on the connection.
