    Abstract: This application discloses a multimedia file joining method performed by an apparatus. After obtaining a first video clip and a second video clip to be joined, the apparatus obtains an audio file corresponding to the first video clip and the second video clip. The audio file records the first start and end time points of the first video clip and the second start and end time points of the second video clip. The apparatus adjusts the first video clip to play the first video clip in a first time period indicated by the first and end time points, and adjusts the second video clip to play the second video clip in a second time period indicated by the second and end time points with the first time period not overlapping the second time period. Finally, the apparatus performs a joining operation on the adjusted first video clip and the adjusted second video clip, to obtain a joined video file.

    Abstract: A fast algorithm is used to study the transient behavior due to the step-like pulse. This algorithm consists of two parts: The algorithm I reduces the computational complexity to T0N3 for large systems as long as T<N; The algorithm II employs the fast multipole technique and achieves scaling T0N3whenever T<N2 beyond which it becomes T log2 N for even longer time. Hence it is of order O(1) if T<N2. Benchmark calculation has been done on graphene nanoribbons with N=104 and T=108. This new algorithm allows many large scale transient problems to be solved, including magnetic tunneling junctions and ferroelectric tunneling junctions that could not be achieved before.

    Abstract: A control circuit for controlling a soft-start time of a DC power supply includes a digital potentiometer, a first drive circuit, and a controller. The digital potentiometer includes a first potentiometer. The first drive circuit includes a first driver, a first MOSFET, and a first charge capacitor. The first driver charges the first charge capacitor via the first potentiometer when the DC power supply is first switched on, and the first MOSFET is switched on to connect the DC power supply to the load when the first charge capacitor is fully charged. The controller regulates resistance of the first potentiometer to regulate a charge time constant of the first charge capacitor, enabling a gradual rise in voltage supplied, from approximately zero to full power, within a desired period of time.

A source of the MOSFET is grounded. A node between the first and second resistors is connected to the processing circuit. The amplifying circuit makes the MOSFET work in a variable resistance region.
