Publication number: 20230264642Abstract: A computer-implemented method for moving an occupant of a vehicle seat to open airway position after a vehicle crash event. The vehicle seat having a seat cushion, a backrest and a headrest. The method includes detecting occurrence of a vehicle crash event, and moving at least a portion of the backrest and/or headrest backwards and pulling an occupant of the vehicle seat backwards towards the backrest by powered retraction of a seat belt of the occupant by means of a seat belt retractor.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 23, 2023Publication date: August 24, 2023Inventor: Björn JONSSON

Patent number: 7668164Abstract: The invention comprises an overlay network that can be under full control of a service provider. Routing of packets between nodes in said overlay network is performed by means of an underlying large communication network. The nodes in the overlay network comprises specific nodes in the large communication network. Therefore, routing of packets according to the invention is transparent for nodes not belonging to the overlay network. One or more federative nodes manages the routing information. The federative nodes are connected to the network and comprise a computer and software, designed for providing said management of the routing information. The management of routes in the overlay network may of course be distributed over several hosts, for scalability of large overlay networks and reliability reasons. A purpose of the invention is to enable a user organization to control the routing of packets for their overlay network via different external networks.Type: GrantFiled: May 17, 2001Date of Patent: February 23, 2010Inventor: Björn Jonsson

Publication number: 20080137653Abstract: The invention relates to a method, devices and system for transit of information over packet switched networks, in particular for transit of an end-to-end connection over a plurality of such networks (1?, 1, 1?) using a transit method that is independent on the network technology used in the different networks. An end-to-end service node (21) selects the networks and links an end-to-end connection shall traverse. To each network an incoming transit node (2) and an outgoing transit node (3) are connected. Between these a leg of the end-to-end connection is transited. The outgoing transit node has a list (37) of transit tags used for identification of a packet flow related to the connection. A transit tag is selected from the list and is signalled to the incoming transit node together with the local address of the outgoing transit node. At the incoming transit node incoming packets are analyzed with regard to the presence of a local identifier (e.g. called a link tag).Type: ApplicationFiled: January 30, 2004Publication date: June 12, 2008Applicant: Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ)Inventor: Björn Jonsson

Patent number: 7365741Abstract: A system and method for navigation and selection in an information space at least partly displayed on a display screen at a mobile terminal device. The information space contains selectable information objects properties. The terminal device has motion-sensing means for control of the displayed information and of object selection. An information object may represent an information space whereby object properties determine display, navigation, and selection characteristics. In particular, a terminal device motion along a predefined axis affects a type of projection for mapping the information onto a display screen and, simultaneously, a scale factor.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 2002Date of Patent: April 29, 2008Assignee: Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ)Inventors: Didier Chincholle, Björn Jonsson, Per-Olof Nerbrant

Patent number: 7257646Abstract: The invention is related to a method in a communication network for handling traffic, such as data packets, from source nodes to destination nodes, via user selectable relay nodes. The relay nodes form an overlay network of nodes operated and managed by an overlay network operator. Communication between relay nodes relies on using packet forwarding services of intermediate networks being operated and managed independently by other operators. For any source/destination pair the overlay network operator may select an appropriate sequence of relay nodes to be passed depending on the required quality of service and the performance of different intermediate networks. The invention enables the control of the spreading of traffic between any two end-points over several alternative relay routes.Type: GrantFiled: May 17, 2001Date of Patent: August 14, 2007Assignee: Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ)Inventor: Björn Jonsson

Patent number: 6574467Abstract: The invention is concerned with a method in a telecommunications terminal, e.g. amobile phone, comprising an identification module with several subscriber numbers, of invoking desired services provided by different service providers. In the method a category of an incoming or outgoing call can be determined. A desired service is selected, in accordance with the category determined, among the services provided by a service provider associated with the mobile phone through service access numbers stored in the module. There is called to a service access number of the service provider providing a desired service in accordance with a certain call handling function by means of which the desired service can be invoked and charged in different ways, whereafter the service provided by the service provider is invoked. The invention is also concerned with a telecommunications terminal and the use of the terminal in different roles, such as a private person, an employee and as a member in different organizations.Type: GrantFiled: April 21, 2000Date of Patent: June 3, 2003Assignee: Telefonaktiebolaget LM EricssonInventor: Björn Jonsson

Patent number: 6385585Abstract: A digital input symbol is transmitted to a receiver by determining one or more formant frequencies that correspond to the digital input symbol. In one embodiment, a pre-programmed addressable memory is used to map the set of possible digital input symbols onto a set of corresponding speech units, each comprising a superposition of one or more formant frequencies. A signal is then generated having the speech units. The signal is supplied for transmission over a voice channel. This may include supplying the signal to a voice coder prior to transmission. In another aspect of the invention, a forward error correction code (FEC) is determined for the digital input symbol, and the one or more speech units are modified as a function of the forward error correction code. In this way, the FEC may also be transmitted with the encoded input symbol. The modification may affect any of a number of attributes of the speech units, including a volume attribute and a pitch attribute.Type: GrantFiled: November 8, 2000Date of Patent: May 7, 2002Assignee: Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ)Inventors: Björn Jonsson, Jan Swerup, Krister Törnqvist, Per-Olof Nerbrant

Patent number: 6272214Abstract: One or more unique identifiers are created which are associated directly with an upcoming telemeeting. For example, a unique identifier can be a preselected telephone number in a PSTN, or a URL that identifies an address on the World Wide Web. In one embodiment, a telemeeting is administered automatically under the control of a communications network's service node. Intended participants are invited to the meeting by including the unique identifier along with a notification message, such as, for example, in a facsimile message, e-mail message, page message, voice mail message, or bulletin board announcement. Using the unique identifier and suitable terminal equipment, any recipient of the notification message can call the telephone number (or click on the URL). In response to such a call, the service node generates and distributes to the recipient caller a personal reference, which is a unique telephone number (or URL address).Type: GrantFiled: November 24, 1997Date of Patent: August 7, 2001Assignee: Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson (publ)Inventor: Björn Jonsson
